i never liked toploader since i heard "dancing in the moonlight", but someday my brother put in the album "onka's big moka" and as i heard this song my opinion changed bout 180°! i still don't like "dancing in the moonlight" but "achilles heel" is . . . just amazing!

good video..I am trying to make slippers at the moment but I used different wool and needles from the pattern and the slippers ended up too small so I had to add on sides strips and knit more rows than the pattern said..guess i should have done a tension piece first..like my mother always told me.

This performance of HHS along with Little Richard's Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On on British TV (which used to be on here) are extremely intense. The British Invasion was well in swing, but those two just absolutely killed it to the extreme. In this clip during high heeled sneakers you can just see how much a bad ass mother f**ker he was. Had the audience eating out of his hand pratically. Truly awesome to see. Must have been amazing to be there.

Very interesting argument, and very well presented. Especially since Obama seems to be adopting a strategy of hitting where McCain, according to this blog, is stronger, the economy. Granted if you take out that leg you have McCain clinging to Iraq, but its possible they are waiting to hit him where he is weak later on where it would do more damage. We will see.

Heel toe is indeed a really simple and easy technique. For example: I figured it out myself, I didn't even know anything about it. Theres just one thing I would like to say about heel toe that wasn't on this video. This technique is really personal. Myself, I need to to bend my feet to get a balanced sound and if I don't bend myt feet/toes my pedals are lacerating my toes. Also in my opinion, you can go faster if you bend your feet a bit.

Wow this was very helpful! As a young self-taught drummer, this is really beneficial to my learning experience. Seriously, I had no idea how some drummers could do double-kick so fast! This is weird. The heel toe thing is the only way I can play the kick. When I first started out playing, my drum teacher couldn't understand how I could do heel-toe naturally yet struggle to do the 'normal' technique. He used to say most people find that technique hard to do, but I never really believed him all that much 'cause it was the only way I could do it. Foot size doesn't matter, heel doesn't actually push pedal. I've always found a fairly loose pedal helps too. loosen the spring a bit.

You just lay down on the blip a little longer to gain more revs to meet the 2nd gear ceiling asap. I skip from 5th to 3rd all the time doing this. 5th to 2nd requires a longer brake + clutch window, but the key is to find your rev on the tach to meet your lower gear. A good indicator is feeling the gear lever drop into the gate, instead of forcing it. If the lever falls in, the revs are right. It takes alot of practice to control revs with the edge of your foot while braking.

I can't really tell from the video, but when you're picking up stitches along the side of the heal, are you picking up two loops or just one? When I pick up stitches for things like mittens and gloves I normally pick up a few of them to pul lthe yarn through, but I'm not sure if it's the same for socks. These videos are so great! Thank you for making them for us!

Thank you for your comments. I've worked out the formula from looking at lots of sock patterns. It's just simple maths. So I can now calculate exactly the numbers involved to turn a heel for any size of sock. Hope this answers your question Regards Dorret

Love these videos! How did you figure out the number of stitches to knit when you start turning the heel ... meaning, you slipped the first stitch, then you purled 11 stitches. If you're winging it (no pattern involved), how do you know the number of stitches??
