Sadly it never did work 100% and I've never bothered to continue working on a method to get them running. My main goal initially with those drivers was to add 640x480 to the original 4G 701 EEE whcih they did. The small speed boost and ability to do scaling was a nice side effect, but I believe the drivers failing. IEGD just was never meant to run the GMA915 like that.

Right click the game you want to add the switches to and select Properties. Under the General tab click the Set Launch Options and enter the command. Be aware this speeds things up a bunch but, will cause some glitches here and there as well. Mainly in multiplayer from what I remember, but it's been a while so don't hold me to that.

I just took a course in A.I. at the University and the A.I. has nothing to do with difficulty in a game. The NPCs could just be aware of your position at all times and be prepared to fire at you as soon as you round the corner, but Valve didn't choose that for the "easy" difficulty (if you wanna play on easy so much :). They didn't do that for hard either because it's stupid. The A.I. is what you make of it, it's only limited by what the game developers wanted, really.

Also you're not playing a game right if you're focusing on the graphics, in my opinion. Graphics to me are a luxury plus, at most (not because of my system, which is up-to-par) but a game should be fun because of what you can do, and the adventure, not the surface. But if the graphics are nice, I go DAYM, it has this TOO! But if graphics are good and game sucks, who's going to buy that crap? The sheer adventure of the HL2 series is stunning.

Have you seen the latest source engine render games? Left4Dead? The source engine is not the Dunia engine or Unreal3 engine or CryEngine 2, obviously, those engines are amazing. But what they also are is terribly inefficient. The source engine's beauty-to-system-requirements ratio is incredible and is the whole reason why I have so much respect for Valve and their games. I think Half-Life 2 STILL looks great, for example--after 4 years! Not to mention EP2.

well a new king is in tell, the Dunia engine for Far Cry 2 puts the Source to shame. You don't get it, Half Life 2 is let down by a crappy engine. Imagine what Valve can do if they had the Unreal 3 or Dunia engine to tinkel with. And also the animation in Half Life 2 is so gay, and the A.I is shit as well, the A.I in Far Cry 2 on Easy is way harder to deal with then the idiots you shoot at in HL2.

Totally cool! I've been using GlovePIE to do most of my mapping with my game controllers, but writing an ingame driver... geez! Being able to 'decouple' your weapons from your viewing direction looks pretty useful for the hand grenades (that part totally strikes me as brilliant) or for akimbo-style gunplay, but there were times where conventional mouse aiming would have been better. I'm also a bit iffy on how you'd be able to turn around to face opponents behind you... Still, very cool!
