You want to talk about dated - go see a typical "Monty Python" episode. And some of their stuff was even more sexist than what Mr. Hill was accused of. Benny, unlike the Pythons, did not rely so much on "topical" humor that lost its relevancy the moment it first aired. Besides, much of the anti-Hill animus has been directed by the lesbian feminists and the radical homosexuals - and both groups have gained further control over the media since 1989.

But your nit picking. One sketch out of hundreds. Benny Hill has made some sketches that are truly timeless & sometimes quite poignient & sad. This sexist crap is blown all out of proportion. I mean compared to comedy these days Benny Hill is positivly PC. And ive always believed if you cant joke about one thing you cant joke about anything.

My problem with this is that it seems terribly dated and unfunny, while classic stuff - comedy, music, etc. - never dates. And, of course, it's so utterly sexist that you're supposed to simply accept that as a fact and to agree that it must be funny regardless. The best comedy has a broad, all-round appeal and endures. This doesn't. It's like hearing a one-liner over and over again (the "Carry Ons" are the same). Fortunately, we live in different times now.

i cant unterstand the comparison between them and the killers. to me, they have a totally different style. cold war kids have an more instrumental "oldschool" style while the killers´ music seems more modern and has some electrical influences. kind of music and voice are similar, but the style is completely different in my opinion. both are great, btw.

Otra cosa más... para algún practicante del Reiki... ya que el concepto clave con el que trabajáis es ENERGÍA... ¿quién me da una definición de qué es energía? porque veo que aquí todo el mundo suelta muy pronto palabras como alma, amor, etc. y poca idea tienen de lo que están hablando. Si quieren hacer que lo suyo sea algo medianamente considerable como serio, lo primero es tener claros los conceptos clave. ¿Su energía se mide en Julios como todas las demás o es cualitativamente distinta?

Verás amigo, no soy nada viejo, de hecho me asombra que asocies creencias con juventud, y ciencia con vejez. Cierto que la ciencia cambia, es lo que la hace válida, pero si todo puede ser refutado, el reiki tambien puede serlo, no tengan miedo a la crítica y la discusion. Y eso de que funciona con las plantas, podria usted desarrollarlo? los seres humanos usan reiki en las plantas para curarlas? eso debe ser verlo para creerlo. Por cierto, como es que les aterra tanto el ateismo?

Trust me, you don't want to ever sent to that hospital. Although not all their staff is this bad, you should really see them sometimes. A friend was sent to the psych ward for depression and we went there during visiting hours. There was staff member sitting at his chair with his hand behind his head falling asleep as we went. Then at breakfast time we were told that they had nasty attitudes to some of the patients who requested minor things as extra condiments. My condolences to her family.

the black people in the room were NOT staff, they're in street clothes. if you watch this vid shown by the today show, you see white dr., 2 security guards walk in and walk away, then a nurse comes in & instead of checking for a pulse, she kicks the woman's foot for a response. but like i posted on that vid, 12 people came in & out of that waiting room and not one of them lifted a finger to help her. this wasn't racism, this was neglegence by staff, & lack of compassion by patients/visitors.
