I bought the Bose QC3 when they first came out and I'm very happy with their performance. I use them with my iPhone (formerly iPod video) and the sound is very good and blocks a lot of the general flight noise. They also make watching the in flight movie so much more tolerable. On my last flight, a salesman at an airport boutique (that didn't carry bose) said many others were better. That may be true but I can't complain about anything on these. They even replaced my lost cord!

there is evereytime loss of quality when you convert your files to another...but its is very small the difference...its still a great quality....on hdmi you have the best quality...at the end it depends on you what kind of codecs you use and wich quality you want for your movie...

theres an easier way to change the file type.. just rename it at the end.. instead of .TOD u can change it to .mpg or .M2T it works try it!! although the video quality as mpg will be a lil less than what it originally was.. but M2T has the same quality as the original video

I enjoy this cam every time I use it.... Its an amazing picture quality and also I made a good deal with futureshop about the price... To convert the file is still ok....I use Magix video deluxe... Nightvision is useless for this cam but I dont need it at all...

Hope you like the camcorder. I have the same one and I love it. The file format it uses is a bit of pain but if you can overlook it then its a great camera for the price.

It is a pity you can't input an address while the car is in motion. This was possible with the older JVC navigation systems though. If this is a safety isue, people shouldn't be allowed to change a CD whilst driving either. Not that I want to give someone any ideas... :D The navigation itself works really well and the addresses can rapidly be found with the intelligent input, only showing the available options after entering a letter. Now I hope to find a better bracket for the dash.

I have finally bought this system! I felt really really bad when I heard the system's Dutch voice! It almost sounds like our queen Beatrix. Normally no one would talk like that. It was very annoying. The menu has some mistakes in Dutch, like it was translated in Asia with a dictionary. So now I have changed to Danish, and her voice is really nice. A pity the USB cable was not supplied by the manufacturer. I got the unit installed, so now I need to get it taken out to have the USB cable in. :(

Couldn't remember if i got back to you on your question. Both are great units! In my own opinion, they both have pros and cons. The JVC has a great navigation that i prefer. The Pioneer has a nice interface and can recognize speech. So you can talk to it and that is really cool, especially while driving. However the Pioneer has a long start up... Some people complain a lot about that. The jvc has a detachable faceplate, but the f90 could ingrate into the dash better.. Thats a hard choice.

That is a good question. Very few Double DIN units have a detachable faceplate at the moment. I am sure you can count on more manufacturers doing this to their units, but i would say that all in-dashes are going to. All of us here at Sonic Electronix are on the look out for more of these units... They are really cool.

Hi Seth, Thanks a lot! That is really nice! I think I will buy this system instead of the Pioneer Avic F900BT, which I originally wanted. I think it is very important to be able to take off the faceplate. Not here in Denmark, but when I visit my parents in The Netherlands. ;) I so much hope the new software uses the very same lady in the Dutch language. The USB connector cable is on the back of the unit. The USB cable is long enough to be able to run the cable to a glove box or someplace similar. On the website, it is the 8th picture down when you click to view larger and other pictures.

I like the JVC for the SD card slot option since there is no internal hard drive, but the detachable face plate doesn't sound like it will make a nice flush close to factory fit since it requires more dept. The Kenwood DNX8120 is quite a bit more, but it has a 2yr. warranty along with ipod and bluetooth. The SD slot on the Kenwood DNX8120 is for downloading maps only I think? I wonder if all of the upcoming new models from most manufacturers will have detachable faceplates.

My current JVC navigation asks the user to enter a security code after it has been disconnect from the car's battery. You can't use it without entering the code. I think it is the same with this unit, but I am not quite sure.

How much security does the detachable face plate offer? Can any joker just buy a replacement face plate and plug it in? What if you need to replace a lost or broken face plate? How flush does it mount in most vehicles since the detachable face plate takes a bit more depth? How do you update the hard drive Navi maps?

You will be happy if you get it, thats for sure. The SD card is behind the screen. The CD/DVD drive, SD card slot, and the SD Navigation are all behind the screen. The SD navi is screwed in behind a panel so you cant really access it, but the other sd slot is easy to get to. check out the sonicelectronix website for it. they have much more detailed pics to answer all your question.

Hi, At this moment not a lot of editiing programs can handle the TOD files. One of the best, i think, programs that can handle the TOD files is Sony Vegas 7e. Please note that it's only the 7e version that can handle this, and no other version of Sony Vegas. Just copy the TOD files from your GZ-HD7 to your harddisk and start editing them.

When I followed your instructions, iMovie wouldn't recognize that the camera was even connected to the computer even though I can clearly see the everio harddrive on my desktop. No did you read my comments? like I've said already. You need to use iMovie HD which is free to iLife 08 customers... And yes dont upgrade to the latest version of quicktime if you are using the HD versions. And install the quicktime plugin you got with the HD camera. THIS DOES NOT EFFECT THE STANDARD EVERIO... Only the HD3 and HD7. For SD versions use the method I used in my video.

I have now heard that if you install the latest version of Quicktime 7.4 on your Mac it can stop any Everio files from working on imovie. i have yet to confirm this or find a work around but just to let you know that it may be an issue. If i find out more i will post it up for you.

I save the movies to the 8gb MicroSD card, insert the card in the computer, change the file end to '.mp4', then proceed to upload to youtube like usual.

I use imovie 08 on a mac and it automatically does it. You can also use your video settings on Youtube to upload after exporting to a file in your program of choice.
