I am continually annoyed that this wonderful peice, full of youthful exuberance which Bach wrote down from improv. has become confused with "Phantom of the Opera" and other such sinister uses. It is anything but. It is a 17 yr. old Bach displaying his prowess and enthusiasm. It is a thrilling ride for the performer who experiences great joy and NOT some dreadful forboding.
