They did but not with the advances in training and sports medicine they have today. Wilkins could jump high but you look at Julius Ervings dunks, he got way up there and could do alot in the air. A guy in the NBA with a great vert is Dwyane Wade who is in the mould of barkley- 6ft4 at the most and dunks strong off two feet

You know, I'm retracting all my statements about NBA vertical leaps. After looking online for some official lists on vertical leaps I can't find anything official. They list Shaq in his prime as only having a 32" vertical, but when he was young he got up higher than that. Anyways, Google NBA vertical leaps and you'll see what I mean about lack of official records.

That's when I meant, when he was younger. Plus, Lebron's a better 1 footed jumper than a 2 footed jumper. What's scary is that he's better off of 2 feet than just about everyone else. I would also agree with the original statement that Josh Smith probably has the best jumping ability in the NBA right now.

The building was so quiet that you could hear a coin drop after James layed that in. When Billups shot for the 3rd OT rolled around the rim the crowd let out a loud OOHHHHHH, James bent over absolutley exhausted and the Cavs were not going to lose a Game 6 at home for the second straight year. It was their series and they deserved it. But hopefully the Pistons can go one step further this year.

i'm a blazer fan but he traveled there. whoever says he didn't doesn't know the rules. stop the video at 15 seconds. that's where he picked up the dribble and started to take the first step with his left foot. that means he has to jump off of the right foot for it not to be a travel (2 steps). but if you continue to watch, he jumps off his left foot. that means he took three steps. it's a travel.

Actually, I've seen layups like this blocked in NBA games before without them being goaltends. What I think happened is that this guy entered the NBA Draft, but no team wanted him. did anyone notice she was right handed. She is obviously not a pro as her left lay up was a foul everytime; She took about three steps forward before she jumped without bouncing. She also jumped to early on her left lay up where as her right lay up was timed differently and therefore correct. She should check her videos before giving begginers the wrong way to perform a lay up.
