if you push the pins up without the tension wrench, they would just fall back down. turning a tension wrench keeps the pins tight with friction. when you pick the pins, they will stay up

You can make these tools real easy out of old hacksaw blades and a grinder, theres loads of vids on here that show you, I made my own to start with then when I got the hang of it I bought some southord picks and to be honest they're not really much better. but like ppl said, it takes a hell of a lot of practice and patience to do this and you never stop learning.

My friend just snapped of his key in the outdoor lock to his appartment block because he was using the key to the inner door of his actual appartment. He got the broken portion out of the entrance door but of course he couldn't use it to get into his apparment....this video has just showed me how to do it. I improvised a twisting tool (to keep tension on the lock) and a picking tool to lift the cylinders or whatever they are called. Anyway, it worked! Worrying thing:if I can do it, anyone can!

The video shows very well, how easy bump keys open doors. That's why, I bought a GEMINY cylinder protection for all doors in my house. It keeps me safe from bump keys and all other break in technologies over the cylinder. Glue, chewing gums etc have no chance either.

These padlock shims work. I use them at school to mess around with my friends. The problem is learning how to get it right. I went through roughly 30 shims until I figured it out. Once I did I can pop locks open in roughly 5 seconds without pliers or twisting.

Hooty, shut up you bastard, and Ekl919 it's because you either have a new lock and your spring is too strong for the aluminum to move. Or, That you need yo start from the side of the lock and then towards the spring, Good Luck picking! And shims are for beginners, learn the math way to find out how to get in a combination lock, much better and can never fail you.

the soda can shims only work on the crappy colored padlocks and other cheap ones. doesnt work well on the regular non-colored master lock ones and the lock shims break after 3 times usually.but if your a kid stealing ipods out of lockers i guess its a nice start,lol

You cut the key into DDDDD55555. If there is only one A1/A2 or B1 it is no longer possible, and sidepins as well. I have made over thousands and thousands MTL cylinders, so I can know. The other thing is you do it in the most perfect position. I want to see you doing it in a door with safetyshields. If I see right, this is the 015 profile. The IA profiles are must more diffecult.

M3 medeco: Slider-which is moved by the actual key (OVER 30 different keys) which means to bump youd have to manage to have a persons key (only one dealer per key per area) sidebar-goes in the slots cut in the key aligned by the angled cuts turning pressure does not apply pressure to it pins-stainless steel keys 7 depths no M.A.C. (cams sky and air locks have cuts such as x.5 2.3 ect)

well with the up to date M3 (5-6 pin + sidebar) I find it absolutely impossible to pick... drilling out a medeco seems to be the only way to get into one. medeco just released a biaxial lock that doesnt have the twister pins im not positive on the side bar but either way i have been unsucessful with medeco.

If you are going to single pin pick a lock, the hooks, diamonds & ball picks are standard, there's more in the klom set like dimple rakes & auto entry tools, when you get it give me a shout & i'll help if you want. Theres other vids with the kloms set & the picks, go take a look.

I rate it a good 7.5 out of 10, great set with nice handles, loads of picks for all kinds of jobs. I don think they are as strong as the goso set, you get more in this set than the goso.

I have the small, medium & large jigglers & I think they are one of the simplest yet effective tools. They are cheap too for what they are capable of. Easy to make if you have a dremmel or grinder.

lol, that was quite embarrasing, you can see the cut in film. thats where i got up to try and get it, but i missed it. and slimpicking is right, it used to have the odd shaped shlage, but the plug on that one broke (dont ask me how, im am so confused) so i had to replace. i went with stanley because it was the deadbolts that happened to be at that particular yard sale and they were brand new and 5$ each so i thought, good i need a new deadbolt anyway.
