Berto still needs some things to tune up but he has the tools to do it... I can agree with that...It seems that Mosley loads up a lot when he is in combat and he is much more fluid and relaxed with his mitt work. With Cotto- he seems to be very relaxed in combat and it makes him more effective. With his mitts, though, he seems to just go through the motions.

I HIGHLY doubt Shane is weight drained, he can make 147 easy. The majority of the people think it may have been him OVER-training, because rumor was he was under 147 a week before the fight and trained too hard in the last week or so, never gave his body time to rest.

It just shows how little they know. Everybody is a tuff guy with a big mouth until they really find out what it's like to be in there with a pro at the championship level. Tyson used to knock his sparring partners heads off but most pros just go easy and work on certain things they wouldn't be able to work on full force with another top level pro. You can make anybody look like superman if you work on defense and throw shots every now and then.

Exactly. Amazing how people still think Sparring is a fight. I'm all for advising newcomers to the sport, but honestly. Larry Holmes used to beat up on Ali in sparring, and all the amateurs would sulk about Ali being washed up, his wins are setups, etc, etc.

A real boxer doesn't show all of his tools in a sparring match unless he is forced. Sparring is to work on things and sharpen up. If the guy he is sparring with is so great then who is he and where are his multiple world titles? Sparring is just what it is, sparring and nothing else.

Great weekend of fights, looking forward to the results show. Decent win for Froch, but Reid is clearly shot to pieces. Haye continues to look great in attack and suspect in defence. Don't know if he has what it takes to be a champion at heavyweight, but he's at least going to be an exciting addition to the division. And Cotto vs Mosley actually lived up to its billing as a super fight. Really enjoyed it and thought the judges got it just about right (unlike the Casamayor fight).

Cotto looks as good as I've ever seen him before, but Mosley like always is pumped to the fullest. I still see Mosley winning. His only losses came to of course taller fighters like you mention.
