I can't believe how much bluster and bullshit these FOX types can muster. He kept on accusing Moyers of "playing games," which can only be construed as immature name-calling, given that Moyers seemed honest and straightforward the whole time. FOX is a conservative propaganda machine owned by Rupert Murdoch, which tries to pass off opinions and conjecture under the guise of real journalism. The really scary part is that a majority of the U.S. population actually thinks that it broadcasts news.

This does not preclude someone with vast amounts of resources from monopolizing the media or influence people in a way that does not benefit society. Any person (Amy Goodman included) has a responsibility of their content and the government should care how these "public" air waves are used. Nowhere did I say that all opinions should be weighted equally. The point is what is produced in the marketplace of ideas should be allowed to stand or fall on its own merit, without interference from the government. We already have laws on the books to cover libel and slander, as well as predatory and monopolistic behavior. To put it another way, if Amy Goodman was on 50kW flamethrowers instead of Hannity then whack-jobs like McChesney (and their nutty followers) would think everything is fine.

No one needs an expensive home, especially people who can't afford it, they need to rent and save. Government shouldn't use tax payers money to bail out businesses or individuals who practice bad business. Banks create money out of thin air but if we don't borrow they can't create or charge interest on it. A couple made about 75,000/year borrowed 535,000 for a second home, the rate adjusted, its gone. Real estate crises caused, in part, by irresponsible consumers. You can't blame on lenders, their business is to sale financial products to people not to take care of people's finance. If you come to my dealer to buy a $65000 vehicle, my sales person will sell it to you. They assume that you have the money and desperately need an expensive car. Mine hasnt so far, but if it went below value if I needed a roof I could not take out a home equity (because there wouldnt be any to upkeep the property). So I'm honestly weighing it out if its really worth being a home owner, unfortunately more rents are higher then my mortgage, and I grow most of my own food, so my few acres is valuable (to me) economically speaking (it makes sense). I like Bill M but I have to disagree. Sure what she said was "factual", but so was Bill C's comment when Obama won S.C.: Jesse Jackson won it twice. Both Hill and Bill are masters of P.A.M. The obvious racial subtext in American politics was: black people can march, white people will govern. But you can't blame Hill because on its face it was "factual".

What an excellent piece of documentation to make clear that only together can we change things for the better. Bill Moyers eloquently showed that each of us did what we were able to move in the right direction. My 'hero worship' of Rev King and his high praise of both King & Johnson probably stem from that same place of gratefulness for passionate people who have helped lead us and used their strengths to both inform and move us to work toward justice.
