I can't believe this is the VPO; there's some shockingly bad lapses in intonation and rhythm here, but looking at Harnoncourt I can understand why. Harnoncourt is really at is best in Baroque music and conducting ensembles who've gotten to know what he wants. Oh, thanks for taking the repeat of the exposition!

I bought a copy of the sheet music for this piece then input the notes into Sibelius. A MIDI file was then exported from Sibelius and imported into Reason. From there I added a couple of effects and tweaked the MIDI data a little bit. The pics are scanned copies of the sheet music set to a transparent Mozart background.

I'm more of a mathematical/logical guy, I have no creative ability whatsoever. I'm not just going to nod my head at the people who say it lacks emotion or interpretation. I don't realy know why exactly. I do know tecniques have an important role in both. So fast Scale runs and Arpeggio's (so loads of theory too), and even more theory. Harmony, too. Some Metal also has Orchestra's and Choirs in it. (Rhapsody, Nightwish etc). The metalbands that don't often have a "strings ensemble" for keyboard. Though this isn't realy true for normal, more for Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, Melodic Metal, Death Metal and such. Not Metallicaish. Does this answer your question?

You are absolutly right. In my interpretation Con Brio... is faster -> with more vivacity. But you defined it better then me. My point is that he said "Allegro" and how fast that should have been, and I was pointing out that it was an "Allegro Con Brio" which should be played with more vivacity, which in my interpretation is (certainly for this piece)... faster (at some intervals).

I believe the quote your referring to is Perlman saying that Heifetz was criticized for sounding cold because of his straight face and "stiff" body however if you closed your eyes you'd hear all of the emotion. I could be wrong though...

True the skill level is outstanding, but to put a limit on what was predetermined ages ago is not only grotesquely arrogant, but irresponisible as well. i guess ''better'' was the wrong word I'm fairly new to classical music and I was only wondering who was the best in the world not for any other reason but my own curiosity , iv been doing a lot of research on violinist and all three of there names kept coming up but so far i really enjoy Janine Jansen mostly because i think she has more fun doing it and i love how she moves her hole body with the music sometimes i think she might hurt herself but thats just passion for the music i guess
