Seriously who gives a shit how someone finds a song. If you like it you like it and nothing else really matters. I wouldn't expect my 11 year old nephew to find this song through the normal circumstances. Hell the song is probably 10 years older than he is, it's not like he's gonna hear it on the radio. I personally love it that people are finding music they dig through rock band and guitar hero. Exposure to different music is always positive, no matter the vehicle that's used to deliver it!

I just came for the Pixies, but since this discussion was already started before I got here... Video game companies don't produce good music anymore than the Pixies produce a good video game. Companies hire musicians, or pay royalties for music use, hence the good music they can use is made by good musicians. Video games are just another medium, like jukeboxes or radio or the internet. I never heard the original "Tainted Love" until GTA San Andreas. Nothing beats live shows, though.

Problem with finding a band/song via video game is now some people make that conection...like "Hey, isn't that the one song from that one video game"? "No, it isn't. It appeared on that video game but it was originally from this album...blah, blah, blah." It's like someone doing a cover of an older song and people only know of the cover and the band who covered the song. Most of the time people don't bother to listen to the older version when they do know it is a cover.

The video game industry has produced so much wonderful music over the past 20 years that it would make you cry. Music is a huge part of video games, and personally I find it asinine to suggest that it's sad to be introduced to good music through a video game, since most of the original video game music out there (material composed by actual video game companies) is beautiful, wonderful, and just as catchy as anything you probably like.

Jim is a damn good bass player. He was in Fleshgrind for quite a while. I saw Fleshgrind play with Suffocation in 1998 at Jackhammers. Ray was still the bassist and Suffocation's sound guy helped them out. Sounded great, even though Ray's bass was so weak sounding.

my baby was circumcised, but not like this. If a woman is "cut" she should be offered a numbing agent at the very least. I think the biggest thing is, this is inhumane and the girls don't want it done to them. Now, my son is a year old and I do not plan to circumcise any children I have in the future. we don't circumcise every boy. The parents choose. And they look at the pros and cons of it most likely. For Fgm I've seen no pros. Yeah it's not right to force these types of things on anyone, but if cutting the boys prepuce off at birth lowers the chance of getting HIV by 60%, thats a benefit some parents just don't wanna pass up. Granted there are cons as well but the most common bad thing I've heard from circumcised guys is 'I could of been just that much bigger' and thats just guy banter =/
