wow, um the music and videos are great and all but it seems like they were just randomly tossed together. maybe you should have grouped the action videos with the intense music and the sad scenes with the melodic music and played them in order, or something like that. it switched from action, to sad, to wierd, to whatever. a little more editing and this could be a great video.

Maybe i just feel differently. Yes it has a evolved but what made game music unique from any other medium in music were the chip generated sounds but now to me it just sounds like your watching a movie and in turn sounds just like anything out that you will hear out there, so for me there is nothing special about game music at all today now.

Most of the music in this video is orchestral in its production and although beautiful its not exactly "real" game music. Personally i equate game music from systems where the music is programmed or written from the sound chip based on the machine and not simply an MP3 dumped onto a DVD/CD. The SID chip in the C64 required you to learn assembly language and you were restricted to only 3 channels to make music in, so if you want genius and real game music, it was either there on or the Amiga.
