Not all "games". Is there some hardcore sim Live For Speed in combination with Force Dynamics 301 resp. 401 - that is a high fidelity motion system that brings the rider inside whatever simulation. You can find some info at google or youtube too. Another HCsim is rFactor.. try it ;)

yea i heard about that too.. the current r35 is said to be underestimated(numberwise)by nissan.... but still it developes no way near 590 hp(low 500s at best). lap times on the other hand, became questionable as porsche couldnt get that time around the ring with the GTR.. claiming nissan used race tires instead of stock ones to set their lap record. whether its true or not, i dont know. regardless, i lost a lot of respect for porsche... trying SO hard to prove the GTR wrong...

does nissan really overestimate their numbers?? i saw a road and track dyno of the brand new GTR where they estimate, with drivetrain losses, that the crank horsepower is between 530 and 590 horsepower or something like that, but nissan only rated it at 490

wow, jdcha9163,,,, if only you had any idea what you were talking about,,,, first of all, all the GT-R SPEC V figures are all developed by nissan(which means's they are probably over-estimating their feature, which is basically proven,,, like the other nissan estimeated times)))), don't get me wrong, i hate domesting cars, i drive a VW but,,, the ZR1, regardless, has the advantage here),, even if you compare the ZR1 to the V-spec GTR its all guesses, the Vspec has no offical time on the Ring)end

u people talk like the zr1 faster then the gtr at NUr....u people must be stupid....how can u compare a car like gtr with 480hp compare to a zr1 with 620hp....and the zr1 beat it by 3 seconds...go back to school when u learn how to compare a car to car and hp to hp....gtr with 600hp well destroy a zr1 any day at NUR...and also the GTR spec v already won the zr1 time....with less horsepower...first run at NUR 7:25sec...and now you people think a zr1 still win..think agian..GTR RULE ZR1...

Since the CGT time was taken some parts of the Ring have received a new (much grippier) surface, making comparisons of old to new times pretty hard (not that Nordschleife times generally are that comparable given weather/traffic/driver/etc).

Sure, it may be street legal, but this particular car has been modified by Edo. Look 'em up, great work. The GTR time comes from a production model, including stock tires. Though about 13.5 seconds faster, you're right, Edo/Nissan just isn't the right kind of comparison. Here's a great one, though--the Carrera GT (production) beat the GTR by 1 second going 350 fewer feet. Throw in the price tag and the GTR is something special.

That's right, just because I'm American you ASSUME I'm a Nascar fan, which I'm not. Those dumb shits can't even drive Watkins Glen without getting into an accident. I'm an American LeMans Fans all the way. I personally think the best race drivers are in endurance racing. Formula 1 is not the end all be all in motorsports and I hate the people who think so.

The 24,433 km variant was used: Nordschleife + GP Strecke. Laptimes were 8.12 , 8.30 , 7.29 (new record)previous record was 8.06 (Jurgen Alzen, 11-6-2005) Note: this CANNOT be compared to the old records of Lauda and Bellof, the track is now a different length. Also did Heidfeld slow down at the 2 main straights, for fotoshooting. The car was modified with short gears, allowing only a topspeed of 275 km/h. They also used Brigestone Demo tires, these "have no grip", according to Heidfeld.

The lap record for an f1 car is 6:58 min - set 1975 by Niki Lauda. The fastest lap ever was driven in 1983 by Stefan Bellof with a Porsche 956 C (6:11 min). Well, if you would drive a f1 car without any technical restrictions (engine, aerodynamics, tires, fuel, suspension, electronics) it would surely be possible to get close to the 5min mark or break it.

man, that's scary! this track has everything and its surface is unstable! heidfeld have to avoid the white banked area (00:58) to prevent the low F1 car from damaging its suspensions or its underside. still, this track is legendary

der m5 ist auch kein rennwagen! die bmw marketing leute erzählen gerne was anderes, aber ein auto das locker 1,9 tonnen wiegt wird nie ein richtiger rennwagen, auch wenn er 1000 ps hätte. zum vergleich ein 911 carrera s hat mit 150 ps weniger die selben fahrleistungen auf der geraden und sobald eine kurve kommt ist der 911 weg! außerdem ist die zielgruppe des m5 nicht rennfahrer sondern ärzte und anwälte die auf der autobahn gerne mal brutal in den sitz gedrückt werden

AMG self called it only an interim solution. But it still had the 4-cylinder engine and the class1 rules said: 2,5 V6 cylinder!!! (Therefore BMW quitted, because they wanted to use their 6 cylinders in a row engine. The only real class1 car in 1993 was the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI (and therefore they've won). AMG came 1994 with the true blooded class1 C-Class. But even on the DTM website they don't name it consistantly in one way.

Modern F1 cars ARE too stiff and too low. Heidefeld drove a very slow lap and said it was unsuitable for f1 cars. 4. it probably is too narrow.

The R26.R is a striped out track car made by renault and is 123kg lighter than the standard MeganeF1 R26. The standard F1 R26 pushes out 250hp not 230hp. The R26.R pushes over 250hp. Renault just bullshits everyone that those cars are 230hp. It's a Cup Car, based on the Dacia Logan. Instead of the 1.6 MPI-engine with 86PS, a 2-litre engine from the clio rs street-car was installed. normally it has 179PS, but in the logan it has round about 190PS. Also installed: two Recaro race-seats (type pole position) and the sequential gearbox from the clio rs cup car with a gear-display at the place of the ventilation. With slick-tyres, it was possible to realize a lap-time under 9 minutes. enjoy it

Ich finde es immer zu gut wen man Äpfel mit Birnen vergleicht. Gerade zu lächerlich. POrsche ist nun mal das mass aller dinge und wenn sie das nun ausgerechnet mit einem Audi vergleichen müssen sollten sie es schon mit einem anderen Modell tun.(Turbo,Gt3) Da würden sie dann nehmlich sagen das der Porsche die Heckmotor Karte spielt.

Für die Leistungszahlen ist er echt lahm. Scheint bei Audi aber normal zu sein. Der RS6 z.B. war und ist schon wieder nur so schnell als ob er 100-150 PS weniger hat als angegeben.

NO SOUL, that is all a Ferrari is, soul. the manettino "little switch" controlls the car's suspention, throttle responce, traction control, and stability control. In the scuderia there are Sport mode, race mode, CT off, and CST off. CT off takes traction control off but leaves sability control. CST off leaves nothing but ABS. Any way I(only 15 yearsold) am pretty sure that powersliding is slower than not sliding. Because it means that you are loosing forward momentum and therfore slower

I don't know where you got that information, but you are incorrect. F1 teams do not test at Nordschleife. An F1 car hasn't been driven in anger on Nordschleife since 1976. Nick Heidfeld's Nordschleife drive was a 1 time pure publicity stunt, and he was not allowed to go balls out under any circumstances. The current F1 track at Nurburgring doesn't involve Nordschleife at all.

F1 teams still test there on occasion, why can't they race? I know its a dangerous track but thats part of racing and cars are 110 times safer then they were back in the day! There is a video on here of Nick Heidfeld testing here not that long ago in a BMW Sauber! I'm not suggesting that the old cars were purpose built for the circuit, but the cars were dramatically different then, obviously. The mixture of cars being so fast, ride height, suspension, wings, the track being so big, etc, etc, it's just not realistic. Not that I don't want to see it, but we all know it's just not a reality. F1 has been sanitized greatly in the 30 yrs I've been watching it, but I tend not to think about that when the cars hit Spa every year.

A modern Grand Prix car doesn't have the suspension to attempt Nordschleife. It wouldn't be hard to have an F1 engine run at high RPM's around the circuit, but the chassis itself isn't made for the rough Nurburgring circuit. Hockenheim used to be almost full throttle for an entire lap, for 45 laps. Today, Monza is still almost a full throttle lap. Canada too. Nordschleife would tax the engine about the same, really. It would just be fewer laps, same race distance.

I drove there in 1986 in a VW Golf GTI it was an awesome experience, I have quite a few miles on that piece road. It is not near as easy as it looks on these videos, you have to drive it a while before you can run hard on it, It takes a while to learn the track where to break and gas it for each corner etc. But it is definintly the ultimate driving experience.

The only thing that keeps me sceptical about this video is, that despite the fact that you can turn them off in the game, there is no time clock, no read out of the cars speed, lateral Gs, no nothing. Nothign which actually substantiates this person's claim of 5:59. I am not saying that they are lying, but I just would really like to see what speeds he is achieving through some of these corners and what times he is setting through each sector. I can't help but wonder. Sorry if that sounds mean.

nürburgring is the F1 part and the nordschleife .the nordschleife is a part of the ring, like the old südschleife "south ring" (in memory ^^)

RoyCoST, I think you're missing the point (and that you've only watched the first three minutes!). This race was on the Nordschleife, they just use the modern F1 loop as well. It's splitting hairs a bit to say that doesn't count as "The Ring"!
