To receive it would be like getting hit with a brick. "Your order is to shoot down an American commercial passenger jet" To not have these specific details is odd for such a situation.

The fact it was not could suggest the order was a stand down Minetta is asked "The plane headed for the pentagon there was an order to shoot it down?" Nowadays you necessarily not has to be put in a certain fach (spelling correct?), and you may swith roles depending of what your voice are capable to do, but the categories are still there. Norman has some difficulties with the top notes above a2 at the same time as her lower register are very full-timbred and rich, that´s why I believe she is more mezzo than a soprano. 100 years ago she had been a soprano without discussion, but times are changing.

Neither Wiki or Youtube are real facts, just thoughts and opinions. MY opinion is that the role of Fidelio and also Agathe in der Freischütz, was dramatic sopranos in the early 19th century. But, many things has changed since that. The tessitura for these roles are much lower than later examples of dramatic sopranoroles. Even the range is smaller.

One of my friends studied voice. The nickname for Jessye Norman at Duquesne University was Jess Enormous. That pretty much says it. Thought the background stuff going on was a real distraction -- my impression -- a bad dream after OD-ing on Pepperoni Pizza. I've an old cassette of Jessye doing a recital of Schubert. Fantasia was released in 1940 and it had been in production years before "Spook Sport" was released in 1939. These two films probably had no influence over each other. Norman uses an interesting string setup. He buys individual strings and uses light, sometimes very light unwound strings, but a very heavy low E. He also cuts the nut and saddle to give non-uniform string spacing. I just ordered a set of strings to mimic his set-up. Here are the guages he uses(from high E to low E): .012 .016 .024 .034 .044 .060 He uses GHS Boomers. Norman is truly one of a kind. He makes it look so effortless. And he's equally capable with a mandolin or a fiddle.

Everyone...67, when I was a child some kids I know told me to look in the mirror at midnight, and I would see the devil. Other kids I knew advised not to do it. The whole idea was just too scary for them. I did look in the mirror at midnight, and he never showed up! Since then, I haven't been impressed with the "fear factor" I was supposed to have of him or with him.

Everyone...67, hey, thanks for the response. Lucifer might laugh if he could, but he has no body as he is an angel. I take that back, he can't laugh as he has no joy. The Lamb HAS BEEN slain, and He is risen. You contradict yourself when you have "the son of god" thrown into the fire. If Lucifer is there, why on earth would he want the son of god there? It can't be a good place & a punitive place at the same time. Hey, do you ever write in prose? If so email me...I'd love to hear from you.
