Considering most games handle multi gpu's horribly still of course the fan boys are going to say nvidia is better right now. Hey maybe they should benchmark it off a game that handles multi gpu a little better something maybe like Supreme Commander. Oh and yeah lets SLI 2 or more gtx280s! Because crossfiring 2 or more 4870's is out of the question. Yeah Nvidia cards are powerful don't get me wrong but uhhh both cards are also about the same price... and in the end it's bang for buck that wins.

what the hell is wrong with you noobs, think about it the 4870x2 has 2 GPU'S. the GTX 280 has one, of couse the the card with 3 GPU's comes out on top, but look at the benchmarks just that one nVIDIA GPU came our like 4 frames shy, just imagine if they made a GTX with dual GPU's. so all you ATI nobbs can cram it, lets see one of your ATI GPU's stustain that load.

Um.. how many many other games out there do you see with gameplay this smooth on such low FPS? Crysis is the only PC game I've played that literally runs on console frames at 20FPS. I bought Crucial Ballistix epp memory & it was "SLI-Ready". I wasn't bent on getting SLI-Ready memory. Mem. is subjective to user. 89% of my mem is used b/c I use task manager to end all other processes not SYSTEM related. Alright, I've pushed my cards to their maximum (safest) point after playing Crysis for +5hrs last night & earlier. I finally started to get video corruption @ 730/ 930/ 1700 MHZ. "SLI-Ready" is a marketing gimmick which you got suckered in to and overspent. 2GB of almost any decent brand name memory works fine for Windows XP. If you are running Vista (and therefor smoking crack) I recommend no less then 12TB of RAM.

what went wrong at ubisoft? this game was delayed like 3 times, and they still couldn't manage to deliver on everything they promised. for example, they showed a demo of how the weapon sways when you look side to side. they removed it from the final product. the explosions don't look next gen. fine that's a minor detail but even looking at this game from an overall perspective, it's still not as good as 3 delays should have made it. i don't think the delays were used for development purposes

I think the key of the GTX 280 will be 1920x1200 and XHD only, below that CPU bottlenecks will mean the 9800 will be similar speeds for the cost. But for 1080p or higher the GTX 280 will be in a new league. Less than 14 days now...

i love playing COD4, but i gotta say this game is a different taste why not try it. 1. It was designed based on "F.E.A.R"'s graphic which can do volume light which COD4 cant/ 2. the A,I of FEAR was way better than COD4's "movie-screening " ,so I would give it a try
