The XNE avatars look awesome. The PS3 Home ones look good as well, I guess. The Miis look crap though. Xbox didn't copy anyone, making their own avatars was simply common sense. Their two main opponents made avatars, if they didn't make their own they'd be quite silly. And the PS3 Crossbar is completely different to the NXE interface. Wow, big deal, it uses a vertical to horizontal interface. The PS3 uses a horizontal to vertical interface, the exact opposite.

Oh for the love of god at the noobs who claim Xbox copies people. Which console first had relatively good media capability and online ability? Xbox original. Which console originally had fantastic wireless capability, media ability and gaming ability (next-gen)? Xbox 360. Who makes most of the software everything is based of now? Microsoft. Sony stole the CD-game idea from Nintendo after they were working together on a new console. Sony copied the motion-sensing capability from Nintendo too.

well, a lot of people think microsoft copied ps3 home, but it didnt Microsoft actually was working on this for some time, even before ps3 home was talked about. If anything it is a better ripoff of the wii and not ps3. I just like the idea of ripping my games to the harddrive. The games for 360 are much better, my ps3 sits on the shelves but is not forgotten. Truth is ps3 has better hardware hands down, but 360 has better games(in my opinion)

the disc has to be in the tray to play it off the hard drive to verify you own it. The point of installing it to hard drive is to make it load faster. Also, it is quieter because the disc doesn't have to spin.

@MyEarPhones; Yeah the whole Halo thing is kinda crazy because I thought you didn't need the hard drive to play it but apparently you do need it for multiplayer as it loads some of the map info on the HDD. But also if you have a 20GB or even a 60GB it may not be worth installing anyway since most games are over 6GB's.

Well where the leaked one is version 2.something.something.1 and the official one is 2.something.something.2 (the 2 denotes the removal of serial code usage) we will receive the updates just the same as any other but in two rounds. The first one will be the actual dashboard update stored on nonvolatile memory on the motherboard. The second will be the Avatars update stored on HDD or 256 memory-card. If I am not mistaken this update runs 120mb.

just load up the game then return to dashboard. i found it is games that need an update that this glithch works for. so if you have already updated assassins creed it probs wont work. just find a game you have that needs an update and when you load it up and it asks you to update say no then return to the dashboard and xbox live should work.
