I guess its just a difference of opinion, but I dont think any ballad is really grunge. I love grunge but songs like Better man, Nothingman, Black and Oceans are ballads, from that time. Of course Spin the black circle, blood, Evenflow and Alive are grunge. So they have some grunge songs but even early PJ had some non grunge sounding songs. But that just shows their versatility. The 1st 3 albums are some of my all time favs. I love PJ but what the hell was with that last kiss remake? Hated It!

Yeah, but that's the thing; there shouldn't be a "laser dance" in the first place, it's stupid and pointless. I mean, even ignoring the fact that he would've had to known the exact pattern of the lasers beforehand, it's just plain stupid because if he was really serious about making it through, he wouldn't be "dancing" through it. I know a lot of people who agree with me on this and think that this scene was just dumb.

One of the best things you can ALL do is stop buying BOTTLED WATER! That contributes SO much to the problem it's not even funny. Only 20% of water bottles are recycled. The USA's water system is highly regulated. It's NOT unsafe to drink. I don't like the taste of my tap water but it's safe and won't hurt me. It has trace minerals and that's where the taste comes from. Drink tap! Think of all the money you will save, too! People complain about gas prices but buy bottled water.

yeah... that's true. i know friends who throw stuff out incorrectly sometimes and if i'm honest... i have thrown things made of paper like napkins and sucker sticks out the window in the past. but those end up dissolving or in the storm drains and eventually the treatment plant down the street. because my city gets water from runoff because we have been in a drought in the summer for something like the past 4 years

I agree in most with what Ballard is saying but his final question, why not colonize the sea(floor), well there are a few fundamental reasons why we cannot, pressure being the main reason. We can compensate with technology for the lack of air pressure in the upper atmosphere and in the space between planets and moons, but the pressure at the bottom of the deep sea looks to be an insurmountable obstacle to living in the dark wet desert. Water is heavy. Very heavy.

Yes, ocean exploration needs more funding and deserves it too, but don't downplay NASA. The reason why we look at space so much is because it is 9,750,000,000,000,000,000 times bigger than the entire Earth!!! (diameter wise). And colonization of space is more important than more colonization of Earth (still very important) because if anything happens to our planet we'll be toast with no back-up for humanity. Great speech! The bottom of the ocean may look like what Europa's ocean looks like.
