Bono picked him because he only lived across the road and thought he looked smart. They gave the kid a chocolate bar as payment! I don't think anyone knows where he lives now though.

That's the photo that they used as the front cover to their 1983 album War. In 1980 they also used this boys face for their album Boy. He is just a kid who lived in a Dublin neighbourhood near Bono. Because the Boy album is all about Bono's boyhood he wanted a photo of a boy on the cover, preferably an ordinary kid rather than a child model.
