Hey taylor,Dinah Shore and Merv Griffin were big on RB groups also back then.This is how I saw most of these groups growing up! The original Soul Train awards were done on Merv Griffins show,where as he would presnt Don Cornielious and then leave the stage and let the awards ceromonies start on his show!It was a way of him being charitable and also recognizing the need for RB exposure.

This isn't the best science fiction movie but it is an emotional motivator. It directs us towards reaching the stars and beyond. It's more of an artsy film. The music and visuals are calm and relaxing. The story is simple and not very complex. The story could have been expressed in half an hour. But for me its too sentimental. I'd rather prefer 'Star Trek'.Isaac Asimov's foundation series are epic; I consider Asimov the greatest science fiction writer in history but that's my opinion.

I have to disagree "panda" not about F.E.A.R that game really is garbage DONT BUY IT! but I just dont think you should compare with call of duty 4, (to COMPLETELY different games) anyway... buy lost odyssey it is 100% the best RPG on xbox 360 it spans 4 discs long and has a killer story line... so that said, i say buy this game NOW. (i do own it).

F.E.A.R. is garbage. I have been playing PC/Console port games for a long time, and F.E.A.R. has to be one of the worst I have ever played. The graphics look like garbage compared to almost all FPS shooters for the XBOX 360. If you don't have COD4 already, get that as your shooter. Or if you want RPG elements with a good fps gameplay (with some scares,) get Condemned. I do have this game and I can say it's a lot of fun. Hard choice between buying this or COD4 (unless you don't play online).

I saw this today for the first time, in a dark movie theater. I've never had such a unique movie experience in my life. I was stunned by this film, and this scene in particular left me amazed and frightened by what the filmmaker was able to do. A really fantastic, and assuredly unforgettable experience.

the book came out AFTER the movie was finished, started in the early 60s they cut nine minutes the early test screenings were unwatchable. The trip is meant to represent time travel back 9 million years. to the "Dawn of Man". Perhaps Dave was turned into God by the beings the "Monolith" represents these are metaphores for things we can't (yet)understand.

Absolutely. You've got it spot on. As soon as you begin to explain or rationalise something like this sequence, it loses its power. That's something lost on contemporary film-makers. A film I watched recently, Sunshine, is sort of relevant to this. The only OK part I thought is the sequence where they go into the Sun. The concept of going INSIDE the Sun is a fantastic one that could instil awe/terror. Unfortunately, it was treated in a really trite way. Danny Boyle just couldn't pull it off.

i dont look at 2001 as a movie, its an experience. the first half is a symphony with the most dazzling imagry ever filmed, then there is the amazing trip to jupiter, which is one of the scariest, yet beutiful things ive ever seen, then the rest of the movie is so geniouse it just blows my mind. what it all means you may not know, but you'll never forget.

Aurontsubaki, Miyazaki is an interesting idea, but I'm curious why Miyazaki would make a good remake of such a subtle film like 2001. I don't disagree, I'm just curious. Miyazaki would make something less subtle and unnerving... plus he usually works in fantasy, not science fiction.

No problem at all ;) Well, of course you have to think before givin' the point, because you'll gain them quite hardly... Anyway, if you want your medic to learn the "Cure" spell, for exemple, you have to spend some point in "healing", this'll unlock the healing spell (or use them in "Fire" to unlock special spells that uses fire, for exemple). It's quite difficult in the beginning, but it's nothing you can't handle ;)

If you just started, i suggest you to use a whole party (you can use one maximoum of 5 character per time) instead of a single char. Said this, for get rid of your porblem, just open the Menu anytime (Y key), go in the "Custom" section, and spend your point there, raising the level of the skills you want. In the beginning you wont have a lot of skill to choose, but some skill unlock other skills, and so on.

i disagree with the comment about the music being over used that it makes it comical, back int he 60's this wasnt over used. i got a ps2,psp & a 360 ive never touched a ps3 controller the play.i only got 3 games COD4 GOW & Assasins COD4 & assasins creed R a on the ps3.assasins creed SUCKED so bad that i stopped playin it the 1st day i got it,COD4 was the greatest game ive played so far & GOW is the second.the xbox 360 lost far cry 2,bioshock,& many other games while the ps3 lost gta4,DMC4 etc is actually the xbox 360 thats losin exclusive cause if u think about it ps3 still has mgs4,RFOM,uncharted,KZ2,GOW3 & many more
