Haha, loser, your jeep even couldn't get trough that trail.. Yours is too heavy.. If I fuck up my gearbox I need to work 3 days for it to buy a new one.. If you fuck up the gearbox of your real "jeep" that is overpriced for the performance you get you need to work 2 months for a new one.. Oh yeah, My suzuki samurai is a hunk of metal but your jeep is a lame piece of metal.. My Suzuki gets to places your jeep is getting stuck from the beginning.. If you ever get north you will understand why vehicles need inspections. The salt rots them out. Trust me these samis dont belong on the road. To even come close you would have to rebuid the lights,replace the entire break lines,exhaust system,build fenders,floor panels, replace the window frames so the wipers work. Thats a start

your mpg numbers are greatly exagerated. a good running samurai on a good day, and if it is a later model with fuel injection might get, and i repeat, might get 27mpg, which is damn good for a 4x4, esp one that is 30 or so years old. i have heard claims of 40mpg with the jetta tdi, and they are credible. in reality i would expect 20mpg from a stock one, and lower that number as you modify it with bigger tires, motors, etc

Damm, most of you didn´t know about all terrain. This course you didn´t do whit a regular off road, most it suck. A Jeep agains the Cayanne? u re waco. a Jeep can´t go from 0 to 60mph in 5 sec. or top speed of 260 km/hr., and od course can´t do this terrain without modification. (jeep suck), the Rover can do it but can´t run in quarter mile. This is the most complete car ever. Maybe u can watch the Scott Van Pala video.

Recently I covered 750 miles in two days with my f650gs. Two full side panniers; a fully loaded top box: tank pack and a 20 kilo hiking pack straddled across the pillion seat. All this through twisting curves and then 120-140km/hr on the open stretches with hot sun or pouring rain. The 650 screamed for more!! However, I won't be using solid panniers for my Australian desert adventure on the f800gs next year for obvious reasons. Care to join me?

As the owner of a 03 Tacoma 4x4 W/TRD off-road Pkg I was a little disappointed when the GF decided she wanted to buy a 09 Forester. Ill be the first to say I was wrong!!! Weve taken the Forester off-road into some pretty nasty stuff. The electronics on board make it every bit as capable as my Tacoma. We were discussing purely the off road capability. Your right, the Forester has great quality, cargo space, refinement, and ride comfort. Unfortunately this Subaru has no lockers on any diff. It relies on individual brakes to transfer power. Most trucks have locking diffs which are far superior for offroading.

Yes, this is better than Jimmy,Sonoma, Explorer, Ranger, Blazer. Not better than Wrangler, but I don't know about Cherokee or Dakota. Quality is better, yes, but Dakota can carry more. Actually this is the first Forester I see that has some sort of lockers, probably electronic. This thing can fit a regular size freezer in the back, for the kitchen. I am not sure that it can fit in any of those narrow Blazer type vehicles.

Nice car but in a regular SUV the tires wouldn't even be off the ground because there is more negative suspension travel. I bet you'd cook the clutch on the hill climb in the manual because theres no 4-low gearing like in a regular SUV. A nice on-road/off-road compromise but its not capable enough for a typical mountain trail.

It's funny how much hate there is for the Hummer. Hands down, the H3 is the most capable off-road stock vehicle money can buy. The H1 and H2 gave Hummer a bad name when it comes to gas mileage... my '06 H3 gets just over 18mpg, which is average for any mid-size SUV. But just try climbing packed snowbanks off the highway from snow plows in other SUV's. I GUARANTEE the people talking shit have never even sat in a H3. I don't care what you Hummer haters say. The h3 is simply the best offroad suv. i have the original i-5 luxury model...should have waited 2 years. Dont let the words "5.3 liter v8 and 300 hp" turn you off. this car gets 20 mpg because it only uses all 8 cylinders when needed, when you are just cruising around town, its running on 4, when you are climbing a hill, or doing 120 on the highway, all 8.
