Oh and another thing worth mentioning which you'll find is a very recurrent theme where there are masters of Chi Gong. Master "tells his new students, come here every morning at dawn for 3 years then I'll know you're serious", you understand that he's charging for each and every one of those morning sessions? He's instilling a culture whereby he's hinting at giving people paranormal powers whilst picking up 3 years worth of class fees off each student. A nice little earner.

i am not having an existential debate here. just don't fall victim to the appeal to believing something because it's on the discovery channel (remember the Blair Witch Project? Discovery channel did a fake "documentary" for promotion of the film.) Aside from that, it's no surprise that through discipline some humans can control small ammounts of electric current in their nervous systems. i don't think it's necessary to attach a "spiritual" significance to it.

no assistance is needed from an outside source, basically Chi is all around you!you can't see it unless you know what it is, this energy is what composes everything in the universe, you can manipulate this force with specific meditations and breathing exercises, there are many styles and they have different purposes, once you are experience you can use the this force and direct it to any part of your body, all ancient civilizations used the Qi for health and protection...

I went to the seminar which was a full weekend of Qi-gong and oh yes they do know what they are doing and talking about people. Unfortunately, most of the posters who are stating these kinds of things could never in a million years demonstrate what they are talking about. I own this disc and I have to say it's an excellent intro to qigong! This particular form is called Wuji Swimming Dragon and was taught to the demonstrator on the DVD by Master Duan Zhiliang of Beijing. However, personally, I've found that you cannot feel anything until you are doing about 50 to 100 reps of this form.

I am no qigong master, but this seems to be very energetic internally. The couple seem very intune, with each other, and the air around them. Please elaborate on "correct alignment" and also what you mean when you say "no chi". Please state where the alignment is bad. Chi has to be there, otherwise a person would cease to be. I do not believe you can see a person's "Qi" from a video and tell if it is flowing or not.

I think that what is referred to as death, means without mind intention. The movements look nice but they are empty, void of the chi that the comentator is talking about. There is no correct alignment therefore no chi. It looks nice but it does not contain chi. Keep practicing.

Actually shouldnt you rather stop drinking and smoking? It is pointless to heal your lungs with the healing sound if youre to smoke and drinking heavy again... as it will reappear probably very soon again. You should envision changing your way of life too while your at it. The healing sounds will only work better :D

Actually, yes! Otherwise I would not continue to waste at least an hour a day practicing. :-) I would gladly love to study with a teacher, but there are none in Pittsburgh, PA that I can find. At least any that are real Qi Gong practitioners and not charlatans. The closest teacher with any talent is in Toronto that I know of. Sifu Wing Chueng.

But neigong its a higher level of qigong, I wouldn't do it without guidance of a good master. Breathing is very important! Qigong is about three things: movement, breathing and thought (or meditation what means moving energy within your body). If you ignore one of these things its not qigong. One thing I miss in this video is the movement up and down in the knees and thats the point with the breathing. When you move up you breath in and when move down you breath out. Anyway, you can study this excellent form of Qi Gong by doing a search on "Luke Chan" or "Chi-lel". Or, buying the DVD teaching it by Daryl Mitchell in Australia. i'm a average asian from america and i've been practice chi gong exercises for about 3 months now. personally, i have developed some strength, i can break beer bottles in half with my hand. i didn't have a frame of reference on how to practice, but i do believe that it can be generated just by believing/faith and possessing movements similar to shaolin warriors. chi really works. i hate chinese people but their chi seems real to me...

If you truly want to find answer you have to look into it yourself. Or else you are just taking other peoples words for it and believe the next "proven" thing. But if you want to look to science for an answer maybe check out michael a. cremo's books or videos, i think his findings are quite interesting. I myself do have a believe in God and higher powers, but it took countless days of introspection for me to come to this conclusion.

Looks like a unification of Qi-Gong and Tai-Chi. Qi-Gong to massage the organs: he does this very well. Tai-Chi to harmonize inner/outer Chi flow: flashy, I guess we would have to take his word for it. All the concentration put on flash, if focused inward would enhance Chi-Flow.
