I'm sad that you want to leave the EU, but I have good new for you: accept the treaty, and you can leave the EU without any problems. This is one of the EU problems, which will be solved in the Lissabon treaty. Seriously, Ireland can't leave the EU. It would have disastrous consequences. I voted No to Lisbon for the following reasons: 1. I do not want to be part of a European superstate with it's own Army, Flag and President. 2. The reason for Ireland's prosperity in recent years is because of our low taxes and free market policies. The EU is trying to build a Command Economy which is run from an undemocratic centre. 3. 90% of the 40bn Ireland has 'recieived' since '73 has gone on CAP payments to farmers - Ireland now imports 75% of its food and 80% of it's fish. CAP = joke!

There are also food shartages in Mexico which imports 60% of its food, there also in Argentina and Colombia. Corn prices rose 149% and wheat 257% since 2006 according to the Toronto Star. But the artificial shortages in Venezuela shouldnt be ingnored, Chavez put price ceilings on essential food staples to keep them affordable to most Venezuelans, the companies dont want to marginally reduce there profits and so they stop investment, affectively say they'd prefer to starve the population

If the Brits don't want more integration, I suggest they leave the EU! The referendum in France just showed that people are misinformed and are not qualified to decide for this kind of thing. They said no to a 400 pages treaty none of them had read, and very few really understood what it was about. It this case, democracy says that you have elected a guy who is more intelligent and informed than you are, so you let him decide what's good for you.

Have you listened to the speeches he made even so far back as 20 years ago, when he was in Parliament? Al Jazeera's Tony Cheng reports from the town of Myawaddy in Myanmar, where people are voting in the referendum that has gone ahead despite the recent devastation.
Many are illiterate and therefore can not read or understand the constitution, however despite the lack of understanding, one family still plans to vote 'no'.
