Well the sun isn't doing anything special that it hasn't been doing for billions of years. The earth has a an elliptical orbit. That means there at stretches of cold and hot when the earth is near and far. The earth should be cooling. The green house gasses are trapping the heat in the atmosphere causing the earth to get hotter. Yes green house effect is after heat, but the gasses from the fossil fuels like oil chugging cars is what is trapping the heat and melting the ice caps.

Nice roster of more characters. The only problem is if they gut out the story mode there's not much of a point. KOF is as good as it is because of intricate plots and deep characters. That's what I hated about GG Accent Core. They decided a coherent story and additional character growth was not necessary.

Under universal health care, we all get to go to emergency and wait 4 or 5 hours or go to a pharmacy to get some "medicine" and wait 2 hours. You best have your own, private, insurance if you want to see a doctor in a timely manner or get a specialist before you die. You won't be treated as if you are a congressman. That's for sure. Okay, I work in Healthcare, specifically in Long Term Care and Rehab. Insurance companies are forcing us to discharge patients before they're ready because they deem their benefits have run out ("Last Cover Day"). These are mostly elderly duped into signing their Medicare benefits over to an HMO. If they'd just disenroll from the HMO coverage they'd have the 100 days Medicare allows for their benefit and they'd have a greater chance of discharging home ABLE to be there. Less regs needed!

I will agree to disagree with you on this one. Socialist policies sound enticing, but can lead to dangerous practices and heavy taxing. I agree that something needs to be done about healthcare. I just think that the answer is less government regulation, allowing Adam Smith's "invisible hand" to spark competition in the insurance market, resulting in more affordable healthcare.

Many people do get sick, even if they live healthy lives - and many of these will not be able to afford treatment, or even if they have insurance, they might very well still be denied coverage. I feel a system of universal health care would be a great system, if implemented correctly. Obviously, you could not switch to it overnight, though.

I agree that the government does spend far too much money on useless programs, like the extreme amount of money they spend on this war. I agree most services should be privatized - I'm not in favor of a huge government. However, there are a few services I think should be socialized, such as the ones I mentioned (and that includes health care). There could still be private actors here as well, though.

I've got no problem with paying taxes. I do however have a problem with paying 25% of my check just to see the government blow it on some program designed to win an election without considering the long term consequences. We're dumping record amounts of money into the government & we go another 1.84 billion dollars in debt every day. There is no such thing as a free lunch, which is why taxes are a good way to ensure even the unfortunate don't have to die from diseases that could easily be cured. In my opinion, the best and most humane way to run a society is to collect taxes for a few very very necessary services, such as police, military, courts, fire departments and healthcare. So I'm strongly in favor of a mixed economy where the majority of services are private but a few essential ones are not.

The withdrawals from heroin and Alcohol can kill you. I have done cheese heroin many times, I don't anymore because it just makes you sick. But the feeling I got from a big line of cheese heroin was almost exactly the same as I get from 5-7 beers or a few shots. I had about a 2 week withdrawal when i quite and i drank to get through it, only to end up with a new addiction to alcohol. He is not saying that he would decriminalize hard drugs. What he is saying that if your are addicted that you can go to a doctor and admit you have a problem and have to get it prescribed. That is so you wont purchase it from a violent drug dealer and not receive any type of help and go to jail. I am sure they will also have then see a therapist or some type of support group. Sure the predatory lenders share some of the blame, but many of the foreclosures are occuring because the home equity of homeowners is "under water" meaning there home is worth less than the balance on their mortgage. So if your house is worth less than your mortgage, why would you continue to pay every month?? you can't sell the house to cover your balance because prices are declining, so the rational thing would be to walk away from the house and take a hit to your credit.

I want to make clear that most of his payments were in Stock options and he lost 900million when the bank failed. I don't know what sucks about NBA. It's still damn good and will be getting better over the years thanks to the new up and coming stars. The teams are strong and there's big tight competition in both conferences so you never know what's going to happen year to year. I honestly don't know what you people are complaining about. If you don't accept inevitable change (such as players like Jordan having to retire) then you won't like ANYTHING over time.

It does suck big time (like everything else). I can barely get myself to watch NBA games anymore. At least I have my old NBA on NBC games that I can watch over and over again to relive the memories... priceless.
