i know how they feel i now have been competing in rhythmic gym for 9 years. and now at an elite club. u always want to do your best. and u get very disappointed at yourself when u drop a throw or fall out of an element. its very harsh on us. our coaches also try very hard for us and always want to see us achieving. btw great video =]

Thank you for your comment. We teach Rhythmic Flow Workshops at Triangle Yoga every few months. Find some music with a steady beat (not too fast and not too slow)...synch your breath to the beat and then coordinate your movement to the breath.Have fun!

Unfortunately, their five ropes routine (17.000). Even with a sloppy 3 hoops 2 clubs routine from Belarus (17.275), Italy wasn't able to make up enough ground. Italy and Spain (did not qualify for finals) had a disappointing Olympics. They both did very well in the European champs.

you're right I think Italy was cheated. I mean the Russians had a very memorable opening but everything after that I don't really remember what they did at all. But for the Italians...very memorable routines. & it was clean so to me that equals first place, not second. and I loved the Greek costumes for their ribbons routine. I've never seen their hoop/ball routine anyone have it?

Am not an expert by ANY means! But yep, Italy were very unlucky. Though as the wheels turn so slowly (and often not at all) in RG, perhaps they were lucky to finish so high... Mind you, I LOVED Bulgaria's routines here, the last great Bulgarian group.

Yeah injuries in the foot and ankle. No where near as bad as your spine, head and back. Partnering is not all the time in ballet. RG always has more flips, back bends, and contorting. Leaping, is only a risk of fall. Both are respectable sports, so stop trying to make one better and harder than the other.

girls tend to start rhythmic gymnastics or move from artistic to rhythmic when they are quite tall. kapronova for example i think is around 5'10. a 5'10 gymnasti would not work well on the bars for example in artistic gymnastics. i know this from experience! i am 5'10 and artisitc is extremely difficult for a tall person so i stopped and moved to rhythmic!

in artistic... guys do 6 different event/apparatus namely floor , rings , vault , pommel , pbar and high bar... and artistic gymnast are more hardcore...whereas rhythmic male gymnast only do this floor exercise SYNCHRONIZED.. so its a big difference in skills they're performing and level of difficulty..
