So, because there's one white male act out of the thousands promoted by MTV my point is dis-proven? Besides, The Maine is your typical pop/punk white band that has always been around. NLT is R&B (even though some wanna call them a "boy-band"). A group of white males that can croon songs about love and sex and can dance really well might break down some negative stereotypes about whites. This is why they don't get mainstream play. Some people would rather those stereotypes remain.
