This man is way too over dramatic. No I wasn't a Navy Seal and do respect him for his service. The M82 has been around for over 25 years and the .50 BMG cartridge has been used since the 1920's. The shooting method he is describing, .50 cal, sniping is nothing new, used in Vietnam by Carlos Hathcock. With respect my point is the Discovery channel made this way over dramatic. People like him and the media corporation he is working for are giving fuel to the anti-2nd Amendment groups.

I did a 1005 last week. I wish I had recorded it. It took me about six shots. I didn't think I could do it, and the soldier just kept standing motionless. Then, finally to my surprise it happened, just like on this clip. I shot high and low, then just got it right from trial and error. This is one of the best war games ever made. It is also very rare. I had to buy mine used.

at the speed a bullet travels, a shooter can estimate the time when his movement reach an end. when he stoped moving his arm to the ground, he shot, at what speed does it go 1000f/s? faster ? try to move ur finger in less then half a sec, when the shooter already aim the place where he goes. the shooter was also aiming for the end of the gun, no way his finger could be there.( sorry for misspell and grammar, english is my second language : ) )

i know that but i was saying in the past 100 years from today... this was a good shot, true. but it's not really that hard of a shot. all you have to do is wait for the guy to stop moving his hand. and of course dial in your optic which is pretty damn easy today with the range finders.

"Muzzle energy" is an esoteric description of "kinetic energy", as measured at the muzzle. I am not confused as to its definition. The ballistic coefficient of a 750 grain 50 cal spitzer is ~ 1.01. Knowing that, retained energy @ 1000 yrds is straightforward. That figure is > 6000ft lbs. That is > 6 times the "muzzle energy" of a 5.56 round.

That video is not of Taliban or any other human target. It is a video of someone shooting Rock chucks, big rodents, like a groundhog .50 BMG bullets have massive energy but they don't expand like that. That was a varmint bullet. Even if a .50 BMG did expand like that, people don't blow up like that. A chuck is a compact animal with short legs. A man is big with heavy bones and long limbs. u cant just say one army has better soldiers than another, obviously there are some noticabe differneces depending on where u go but when it comes down to it in a battle anything can happen regaurdless of training, not to mention the difference between the top soldiers is so small it barely matters.

If you are talking about the Assault rifle, then you obviousely are not good in Halo...ofcourse it is a no skill weapon. Use a Battle rifle, Carbine or Sniper and then come back saying it takes no skill.
