This was something I ended up with after trying to make a better "tape mod": as far as i'm concerned, this is the hands down, best mod for QM's.
If you use this mod and it helps you out, comment about it: a lot of people are still skeptical that this works as good as it does, so yeah.

If you have an el set, the hell with socks. Duct tape fixes everything. Pop the pad off, put some a couple pieces of duct tape across the sensor thing, and put them back on. It increases sensetivity, and somehow kinda quiets it a bit and makes some rebound action.

Oh, I just HAVE to reply to this one. Once you have tried wearing socks from one of these machines, you won't go back to store-bought! They are custom fit, warm natural fibers, and wear like iron. My guys finally tried them. Now they will wear nothing else! The group of sock machine owners is growing rapidly. So is the price on these little jewels. You would just weave the tail end into the stitches like she did when she started. That would hold the tail in so it wouldn't come out while wearing the socks. Wool tends to stick to it's self, so there is no need for knots or what not.

If the machine is working well and one knows how a sock is made from start to finish and one does not drop a stitch, that the yarn does not break and is correct for the machine then a sock can be done in 15 minutes. Of course one has to close the toe by hand using kitchener stitch and this can take longer than making the whole sock. My quickest time on a 60 cylinder 30 ribber was 20 mins but I prefer to take my time - less mistakes can happen plus - less rush more fun.

Replacing the dpn when needed at the beginning , heal, and toes. you must know how much you are appreciated. That makes the rounds faster with markers where the separation belongs. I design my own patterns. The yellow sock is just an invetned number of stitches to get across the principles. The aim of the tutoiral was to show how you can control and understand the development of the individual parts of the sock and see actually how stragiht forward it is. I hope that it gives you a soild foundation first to follow a pattern successfully and then the confidence to adapt or patterns or design your own socks. Regards Dorret

Oh, I mean no disrespect at all. Your opinion actually matches mine more than you think. But I believe the Angry Video Game Nerd put it best. Indy is based on the adventure serials of the 30's and 40's, when acting, effects, plot, all that was cheesy anyway. You can only take it seriously to a point. Had this film been made 20 years ago, it would have time and nostalgia on its side, thus negating the camp. I believe that's ultimately the problem.

Believe me, no one else was happier than me when I heard about this sequel. Indy was one of my childhood heroes but this last film left was just an overall dissapointment. The acting wasn't that great, the lines either,the computer generated shots were painfully obvious and there were just too damn many, the suspense was just not there. I dunno, just my opinion. Spielbgerg and Lucas need to do a little innovating, need to do something new. Or go back to the old school,lol.

I really think the movie was as good as it could've been, considering the circumstances. It was 20 years removed from its predecessor, actors aging, some retired, etc. Interesting fact, though. Lucas actually had the idea for the crystal skulls back when Last Crusade wrapped. Spielberg wasn't sold on the idea, so the two split. Spielberg went on to make Schindler's List. We all know what Lucas did. Really, it has it's faults, but I still like it. If just to see Indy on screen again.
