Confusing yes. The three people in the movie who were all very unfortunate represent one type of person and one level of overall satisfaction with their lives. The guy at the end scratching the lotto ticket looks like he is well-to-do, playing gold with nice clohtes and everything. Maybe he represents some greedy, money hungary buisness tycoon who couldn't give a damn that there are people who are less fortunate than him. So if he wins the lotto licket, it's just icing on the cake for him.

dude 2000's suck compared to the old decades. but I think that the 80's had the best music, however, the 50's through 70's had the coolest atmosphere of all time. 90's were pretty damn good too but only because music like Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots and those kind of bands and Sugar Ray as well but they were late 90's (cutting it kinda close to the 2000's

Good Lord....what is all this Tarabithia chatter. The reason the song was used in Tarabithia was because the people who made the movie liked the Steve Earle song. To compare the two seems silly. It was refreshing when I watched the movie to hear the song.....but how can you say it "was better in Tarqabithia". Steve was the guy who wrote the song! What a strange thing to say. From what I can gather the vast majority of jazz musicians all had some sort of education in music. All practised for thousands of hours. I rather think that everyone has 'it' inside them and you've just got to want to work hard enough to get it out. I'm not a natural bass player but I'm practising (fairly) hard and I'm sounding a damn sight cooler than I did a couple of years ago.
