Shin's minor, his twin brother appeared in the Europa story arc. And about Julia, yes and no, he didn't kill her personally, but he did send his men to kill her and Spike, and Julia died in the confrontation, so he killed her indirectly I suppose.

they might not have shown episodes b4 this series started but they already showed some episodes that kinda revealed their past lives for all of them. Especially Spike. His whole back story is explained throughout the series. Faye's back story was explained in like 1 or 2 episodes, same for Jet i believe. Dont recall much for Ed.

I think that, ultimately, Spike dies. I mean, sure, I read fanfics about him surviving and all that, but thats just for fun. I think I'd be kinda of upset if the series continued and revealed that Spike was alive, though, 'cause the ending is already perfect...

spike lee took musicals to a hole another level with this movie. he casted one of the greatest actors of all-time, laurence fishburne. without spike lee, great movies like this, house party, and i'm gonna get you sucka wouldn't have never been made. also without spike lee (who gave blacks their big break), every fucking member of the brat pack would still be the hottest thing to this day. so thank you spike lee for giving us what we deserve. so 1988-now (black actors) > 1985-87 (brat pack)

One thing the 90s had over the 80s was the fact that there was no more white trash brat pack (meaning almost every brat packer had fell off, except for emilio & demi). That was a good thing because in the mid 80s, there were almost no black movies as there weren't any blacks in the racist brat pack movies. sure there was breakin and krush groove, but they were mainly dance & hip-hop movies.

I first heard this song (actually only the second half was played) on the radio in Springfield MA. Having high-hopes for this album (following the massive success of "Invisible Touch") I was dissapointed, overall, with "We Can't Dance". However, it was the return to epic prog songs, like "Fading Lights", and "Driving the Last Spike", that made the album worthwhile :) This song, of them all, stands out the most. Fortunately, I saw Genesis in '92 at Foxboro Stadium; was a most righteous event!

Well thehatbloke, let's stop arguing. But you started it (Doh!-sorry). With deep irony no doubt Spike would've enjoyed this pointless spat of ours. His show at the Grand Theatre in Leeds circa 1972 began with curtain going up and spike and mates disguised as stage hands, brown coats etc doing painting and joinery. Well fnslr308, arguing whether something is 'funny' or not is kinda pointless. If anything is totally subjective and personal, it's what makes you laugh. And yes, I did pay to see him in theatre. Loved it. Still have the ticket. I like this vid. I loved First Irishman On The Moon. So, yes I'm a fan. It's certainly dated, but it still tickles my giblets. I like the anarchy. For me, without Spike/The Goons and The Marx Brothers the world's a straighter, less funny place.

Well, I'd argue that his comedy was anything but comfy. You don't have to be a psychologist to figure out that the anarchy of Milligan's comedy (and The Goon Show's) grew out of his war experiences. In fact, I can't think of anyone else whose humour is less comfortable. In its time it was revolutionary (the BBC never knew quite what to make of him); there was little or no connective tissues between sketches. Some hit; many missed. Spike's comedy was many things, but it wasn't 'comfy'.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion but I'd hardly describe serving in WW2 as 'comfy'. If you want to know just how uncomfy it was, read his description of shellshock after he was hit by shrapnel and told to go back out to continue laying communication cables between trenches. The clinical depression he suffered after the war - for which he was on copious amounts of lithium - was a direct result of his war experiences. Personally I think that Spike was just a funny, unique man.

John is the greatest of all piedmont blues artists. The Swedish group PIEDMONT PROJECT has John Hurt as their number one inspiration. The was actually invited to perform at the Hurt Museum in Avalon. Check ém out here at Utube!

According to Wikipedia, John Sidney McCain, the great grandfather of the senator, did own a plantation in Teoc Mississippi. Also, according to the memorial website to John Hurt maintained by his grandaughter, Hurt was born in 1892 in Teoc and did work as a sharecropper in that area. What makes you say this is not true? If I am wrong, please tell share where these two men were born and grew up.
