Why not? My point is that Patton's music isn't just one or two well written sections, with a bunch of filler in between - everything has it's place. He's always aware of dynamics, and uses everything in the musical toolbox - stacato, marcato, etc. A lot of popular music simply has a strong intro to make a first impression, then allows everything to be pretty generic. Which is fine, if you want to write in that style, but when the entire song is written musically... that creates timelessness.

To be remembered 100 years in the future, you have to be two things - ridiculously good, and ridiculously well known. Patton has a profound understanding of the art, but he doesn't care about success in the mainstream. His music has that timeless quality of Beethoven, or a band like...say, Talking Heads, but he doesn't have the level of success they had. And that's okay, because it's not what he wants.

Good to see Bozzio's ridiculously oversized set still sounds awful. I have never once heard that thing sound good - be it ambient, passive or direct micing. It's cool to see someone like Bozzio sit in for Lombardo but that set... yeeesh.

That doesn't seem to make sense. How did getting a different distribution deal force them to drop kelis and clipse. As far as I know, kelis left star trak because of her poor sales. Clipse are still part of star trak, as far as I know. They established their own record label (called Re-Up) and are going to release their 2009 album on it.

YouTube starts really to get on my nerves. I got suspended with no violations at all, no warnings , no nothing and gues what - they ruwined my deal with a customer for a car for 200.000 euros. I couldn`t contact him and now I`m really mad - YouTube starts to suck and it`s going to destroy it`s "infrastructure" because of this no reason suspends - I REALLY HOPE IT HAPPENS !!!!! THE IDIOTS COULD HAVE GIVEN ALTEAST A REASON FOR THISSSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!!!
