You're right I did get around to reading it, eventually! The DJ's you've listed have all got skills but IMHO have and never will be as great as the major players of the late 90's early 00's. If you think the scenes not suffering you're kidding yourself. Both on a creativity and popularity level. It is partly down to the battle break/dub plate culture, lets face it Juggling classic tunes will always go down better and bring more interesting sets than random loops that were designed for juggling.

well i'm trying. Q-bert is nice to watch because he is a viruoso, he's got a great style, scratches at the speed of light and looks more like a cartoon than a man. But musically someone like z-trip is much more funky. Come on dude. Lets take guitarists for example. Steve Vai's complex solos are great to watch but not that great to listen to, while a simple Angus Young's riff might look dull but extremelly effective and captivating musically. Dont get offended. its called the "cross-fader". it changes the sound coming out from 1 turntable to the other, and anything in between. when used in scratching, it cuts the sound of the record into pieces. if the fader is "open" you can hear the record. if its "closed" you cant hear anything. Sort of like volume control. The cross fader is usually found on a mixer that has to be bought separately but this turntable has one built in (it was designed by the DJ Qbert)
