I agree, DirkXXXVI. It seems as though whenever a poor bunch of writers wants cash for their "chicken feed" scripts, they'll complain and ask cash for their handy work. They should work harder and put quailty into what they make, lest their "writers strike" will kill them fast due to failed films and tv shows.

Yes and no. There are times in America where the price for care in some cases is very high however the quality of care is top class. Thanks to the American System I got completly cured of a condition that usually last a lifetime. If I was in Canada I probably would have had to wait about a year just to get treated. A lot of people think that UHC will fix everything but usually those people are the ones that ignore the horror stories from countries like Canada and the UK.

You have clearly underestimated the cleverness of writers and OVERestimated what it takes to be a lawyer. These days ANYBODY with enough resolve could take the bar, but not everyone has the wit and NATURAL talent and creative ability to be a writer. It was the networks that fired the assistance, the writters are just asking to get some money from mediums that wernt their when the old contracts were drawn up. (eg, Internet). Also, wanting 0.6% of DVD sales rather then 0.3% hardly seems extravigent considering how much they contribute to the finnish product. (remember, DVD's cost about 2 cents to make physicaly...the rest goes to the distributor). I dont see how the writters are "uncaring".

In the long run, it actually does work that way. This is not to say that wealth will ever be distributed in a fair way; however, pattern bargaining creates an environment where unions are able to demand more, and are able to make more headway in interests such as health coverage and other benefits. Trickle down economics is always at play, even if the rich get richer. Every industry experiences it.
