I had seen this in a documentary on Discovery Channel. If the force of the water is not too great, then it should be harmless to sit directly under the flowing water. I have also read somewhere that this technique is used as water therapy to balance the elements in the body.

WARNING! As you can see from this video it is not safe. Personally I would never let my children climb these falls , one poor child died several years ago when he was pulled underwater and stuck under a rock. Many many people have died here, but the local people will cover it up, as it is not good for business. DO your research!

My intent will be to work on indepth instructionals by video...find a host to purchase bandwidth from and partner to offer such to artists as segments instead of the whole painting at once, and focusing on specific things important to painting. thanks. this is the best video i have seen of the NYC waterfalls. ithink it is because it is at night the whole city looks nice this way all the lights, the falls look neat. from here @the jersey shore

ok,, I have seen one. that is all. I am not going to pay $40 to get on a circle line boat and see these things. Next year do something that we can see on the streets or parks. I am not going to visit busy southstreet seaport to see this far away fountains. public art is for all to see near the community and easy to get to. Still thanks for the effort. The gates were better. nyc is better to get around in the winter.

I think it is a great idea I love water. I just think also, they should pump some more water...make it look more natural rather than seeing all those pipes behind it..and try some colorful lights at night as well..thanks for putting up the video!
