I'm sorry I didn't mean anything negative by saying "mr. mustache", his mustache is really good and I respect Liberty a penis load. You see I work at a discount bargain store in Indiana that has many a stray carts. I feel I can talk to carts a little bit, I have rescued quite a few and by doing that I believe I have broke the language barrier between us two. After watching all Liberty's videos and studying his website I will gladly continue to help out the helpless carts that we see everyday.

I have always loved this show but for one reason or another I haven't been able to keep up with it. I thought it would be a good idea if I could find the full episodes somewhere and I would copy them to DVD without having to buy the shows on DVD - it might be cheaper too. The problem is I can't find anywhere that shows full episodes and I don't know how I would transfer it. Does anyone know if I can get this here or do I have to go somewhere else - if so where? And how do I transfer it?

I have no idea who Ian Dunbar is. He obviously didnt fix the minpin that was put down, surprised they aired that episode because he failed. Clickers evoke a reflexive response but he doesnt use those. Then again they brainwash dogs and dont let them act "naturally", is that why he doesnt use them? Pavlov is dead but he would have been able to answer as to why cesars methods are abusive. Besides psychology has proven that negative reinforcement only makes the 'victim' hide the action or is only a temporary 'fix'. When I knee a dog the next time I see it and it second-guesses I treat it. Thus I give it an initial negative but reinforce the positive of not jumping and it then associates the positive over the negative- which by-passes the negative reinforcement issue. One answer down.

If something is deprived of oxygen it cant fight back- when you are being choked you cant make a loud noise since air has to pass over the vocal chords and your brian needs oxygen to think logically. The dog fought the first time the leash tightened, then when he pushed its neck down it tightened more. You can see him loosen it and the dog recovers and tries to get up. When he walks her again she tries to bark but cant well. Fights on ground, then flops, and again he loosens the leash.

Bailey my JRT is 5 now but age has nothing to do with it he understands im his alpha and if i tell him to roll he does i dont need to touch him. I still dont believe it was just because of alpha rolling, you say theyre trained thats probably a big factor in that. Thanks to cesar people have gone to the hospital because the dog bit their face since they had no idea what they were doing and even then some dogs should never be forced to show trust- all the dog showing its belly is is trust. I can try to force my bosses 65 lbs Bullie to roll on her back or I can sit and shell do it for me because she trusts me. And when doing her nails we have had to cradle her so we can get them done and she struggles. You sit on the couch and he lays on her back for hours.

Well ariana you guessed wrong i dont need to alpha roll my JRT and havent had to for quite some time thanx anyway. My dogs are well behaved with videos on you tube to prove it! If i command my dog to roll he will and i think as my Akita weighs around 90lbs somehow i think forcefully rolling him now would prove difficult! The only problems we encounter with my dogs now is my adolecent Akita bitch chewing for which behavioural spray seems to be working!

I agree, Cesar is a people trainer, not just a dog trainer. I don't own a dog, but still get so much out of the show because we would all do much better being calm and assertive and living in the moment, regardless of whether a dog is around or not. It's no different from meditating or doing yoga really (actually Cesar makes reference to these often). gj Cesar!

All training should require supervision from a professional, unless you have a stuffed dog or a robot. Ive been training for years but I had help from peers to show me when I was making a mistake and Im still learning newer and better ways to work with dogs. Cesar is an incredible dog trainer. I see a lot of dogs like this at work (at a vet clinic) that are horrible in front of their owners (especially the ones that baby them when they are being bad) and once removed from their owners are sometimes completely different (and sometimes very well-behaved) dogs. Being an assertive (but not mean) pack leader is one of the most important things when controlling aggressive/dominant dogs. You just have to be careful and understand how to do it properly.

That's right. Intraspecific aggression as true violence is evolutionarily disadvantageous. A real fight is far too costly to both parties because even victory can result in life threatening injuries. Read the previous post about "fights" and their is plenty of research on this subject.
