Paul If I have one hope for America it is that we continue to disagree at least verbally about things it is our greatest strength. When all opposition is silenced we will all be poor because we will stop learning and listening at that time. I think that would be a bad thing for us all. I don't have to agree with you about anything Paul or you agree with me for that matter, but I do owe you a hearing. Palin's Troopergate scandal is just the latest example of Republican corruption. We also have Bush, McCain, and the Republicans to thank for the largest deficits in history, the most mortgage defaults since the depression, the biggest income gap since the 20s, a crashing stock market, fleeing jobs, no energy policy, a $700 billion dollar war, 7000 dead, and Osama Bin Laden still out there. 8 years of Bush and 12 years of Republicans produced this disaster. Let's say "NO!" to 4 more years.

Go to Anchorage Daily News and under Troopergate, the PDF files are there for Trooper Wooten. Check out the one where Jim Heath (Gov Palin's dad) filed every complaint he could on the guy from illegally shooting a moose, to god knows what else. Read the moose file first. Then go to the Juneau News and do the same to find the document from her sister & Wooten's family court hearing in 2005. Palins look like they just walked off Jerry Springer-you can't believe what she says. Lies.

Branchflower's inquiry found that Palin had violated public trust by using official action for "personal interest". BUT it also said that the firing was a "proper and lawful exercise of her authority." Pretty ambiguous results if you ask me. And about that "personal interest"? She wanted him fired because he used a stun gun on his 11-year-old stepson, was caught drinking alcohol in his patrol car, and threatened to kill a member of Palin's family. Forget "fired." His ass belongs in jail!

Read up before you draw partisan, knee-jerk conclusions about what really happened here. Analyze this in a non-partisan manner. Hollis French is Alaska's most vocal Palin opponent, and is a staunch Obama supporter. Two months ago, he had publicly promised an "October surprise." Again, the assertion that 10 Republicans and 3 Democrats "zapped" Palin by concluding that she abused power is incorrect. It was Branchflower's, and only Branchflower's conclusion. Uh, yeah, because it was Branchflower's job. He was the special counsel to the Legislature investigating it. He was also supervised by former prosecutor French. The 263 page report to the public is available for download, including 180 pages of testimony. Branchflower was right, and Palin simply lying about the findings, hoping you won't read the report. "It was Branchflower's, and only Branchflower's, conclusion that she "abused" her power."
