I agree with you but I think what Chomsky does is attempt to make people question the information they are given by the media and the gov't. But I do agree with you. These are all really endless arguments. If you are working on one set of assumptions and arguing with someone who works on another set of assumptions how can either of you persuade the other?

Channel-hopping late on a Friday evening a few weeks ago I landed on BBC2 just as this item started... and I was completely blown away. Grace is still an extraordinary phenomenon. A force of nature and art. I just got the album and it may well be the greatest thing she's ever done... it really is that good. Though I have to say her voice on the live 'Williams' Blood' is even better than it is on the album. Can't wait to hear her (and see her flashing those latex knickers) in Glasgow on 22 Jan.

Why do you think Karajan's conducting is "so German?" Another reason could be at he was years before his death on this video... D: Sad, but if you look at his last 1980s videos, you can see he conducts with less power and movement. Nevertheless, he had the courage to KEEP ON CONDUCTING, even the year before he died.

That is so admirable, it totally inspired me. I mean, what can you say to something like that? "It's not fair"? "He's cheating"? What an incredible feeling that must be. I can't imagine the comfort of breathhold you would have to have to fall that distance, let alone swim horizontally, then all the way back up with no fins. The sense of accomplishment must be huge. My hat's off to you, William.
