this boss battle takes so long there's no reason why you cant figure out how to avoid those 4 element shots of his. you need to jump early right before it changes direction the first time, so all 4 bullets either go up or across the screen. the second time they change direction you should be able to slide under all of them.

Actually, the original box art for Mega Man and Mega Man 2 feature him with a strictly humanoid figure holding a gun. The arm cannon/plasma cannon doesn't appear until Mega Man 3's box art. What I find interesting and perhaps a joke is that this humanoid depiction carries both a handgun AND an arm cannon. This is the first time I've ever seen Mega Man wield both weapons. But yeah the background is nuts. The first Mega Man box had buildings, explosions, PALM TREES... They're all pretty unique.

Heart Tanks and Subtanks and 4 capsules were ok. It was the addition of extras like the ride armor parts that made it annoying. X4 did away with that only to get worse in X5. Collecting people or bolts really got on my nerves besides the X games sucking. MM didn't collect nearly half of what X had to until MM7 SNES.

This battle is easier if u use the flame bazooka on the first phase, then the laser trident on the 2nd phase, and then the hornet chaser,flame bazooka,tornado blow or the laser trident on the last phase.
