That is HILARIOUS! I totally agree bro. I think it's pretty creepy for Winger to write a song about a 17 yr old girl when they are nearly 38. Makes me shudder and my girlfriend who's a Social Worker says, "That's just wrong on so many levels."

Amazing song. These guys were SO severley underrated. Awesome musicians, singers and writers. Unfairly lumped into the whole "Hair Metal" thing that went on in the very early 90's. Winger deserved better. Glad to see tho' that they're still together and touring.

Awesome vid -- I saw Winger live at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas - 1987 - they blew the lid off the place. They were loud as hell, and super tight. Excellent musicianship. Saw Metallica at the same venue later in the year. They actually dissed Winger by name in their show. And they were lame -- bad PA system, lots of feedback, and Hetfield blamed the venue for the sound problems...

They put out an new album a year or two ago called Winger IV. It was not bad but it was not as good as Pull. They seem to have mellowed out a bit because the new album is not has hard as their old stuff. There are a couple of tracks that are pretty hard though. Disappear is my favorite track.

A lot of people put Kip down because he was good looking and therefore called him a poser. But I have video from a sort of Metal Edge type thing on video from the early 90's when he was working on Winger's second album that showed him in the studio and he really knows what he is doing in the studio and has talent. In particular, it showed him mixing Rainbow in the Rose. One of my favorite songs off of the second record.

I think he's aged gracefully. He may not hit the high notes like the original version on this performance but to my ears at least, he sings from the heart here and you can feel it. This man has been through a lot, most notably the death of his wife Beatrice in a car accident.

If Carter is referring to the Letterman interview, all Winger said was that she couldn't wear the same makeup as Wonder Woman, and she made a bad joke about Carter and the BCCI scandal. c'mon man, you can't say Kurt Cobain gave 2 hoots about his guitar playing, he was the king of slop. I realize fully his skills with a guitar weren't what people liked about him; in saying that, I failed to see anything likeable about their music. Just because a person's troubled doesn't make them automatically a great artist. Some of us just have higher standards.
