I have had my Tenor uke stick for a year now its perfect for sitting in front of the telly and practising scales and chords , i play it every day maybe just ten minutes a t a time but its small enough to keep with you and play without worrying about anoying others . THEN PLUG IT IN TO AMP WOW !!!! it comes alive and really a pleasure to play. wonderful instrument

The Solids are almost silent without amp like a electric guitar without amp. I don't think the Solids are "unknowns". It's the most sold electric ukulele worldwide. There is also a comparision video available of all three Solids. Search for "Solid Blues Shuffle" in YouTube.

Wow. I didn't realize. I have one more question(s)? I am planning on purchasing a Tenor Uke stick, however I am wondering if you can play it without an amp... with Comparable acoustics to that of a standard Uke. I wonder if you could do a video with all three (soprano, concert, tenor) Uke sticks so we can get an idea for sound and size comparisons... After trying to do some research, I found that many people are asking questions in forums about these "unknowns".

So glad I found thsi video. I bought a Uke yesterday and was very frustrated not being able to just pick it up and play - so I searched for blues tuition as I am at happy improvising with blues on the guitar. Thank you so much for getting me started on this new instrument!

I had the same problem. All fretted notes were sharp on all strings. This was due to the height at the nut being too high. When the slots at the nut were filed down everything came together. The only thing to watch is that you don't take the nut too low or you'll have buzzing issues with the open strings. Good luck!

i understand how to use a tuning knob, my problem is when it is in tune, checked by a tuner, using the tuning knobs, the c string and e string both go sharp on the 2 fret and up no matter the pressure i put on the string.

If it has the same tuners as the Lanikai Baritone, you can tighten up the tuners at the top of the uke by using a crescent wrench. Go gentle and do it in small stages but I think this will do the trick. If this doesn't work, I would change the strings which might be stretched. I have had great luck with Martin strings but GHS and D'Addario are also of high quality. Mahalo Spang

I don't think so. I think your job as a WL is to help others focus on God...You must have your time with God before the worship and bring Him with you into the session. Then you can focus on the music and still be with God...it's His music afterall.

This is a praise and worship dvd, and Paul's "forte" is playing in a Praise and Worship Band that's why he doesn't need to play with more "technicality". It's like telling Clapton, SRV, or even Hendrix that they suck because they don't do tapping, or shredding on the fretboard...

To get his sound, basically, you need a Gretsch, or a guitar with TV Jones pickups, couple of overdrives, and a great tube amp. But, you don't need to get his sound, just get close enough to where you're happy.

Ya well said. I like the kettlebell for muscle endurence as well most of all. Ive met really big guys who can lift lots of weight but if we both bench 135 as many times I usually mop the floor with them because of the muscle endurence with kettle training. I am also a huge fan of isolating because you hit all the stablizers, and you need that for muscle endurence.

Well, you know, it always depends. What do you want to do? The problem about the kettlebell hype is that people look at it from a limited STRENGTH perspective instead of a work capacity perspective. These are not the things that are gonna make you the strongest man. There are the three powerlifts for that. And the olympics lifts. But in terms of motor rich strength endurance activity the kettlebell is king. It takes this place in strength endurance and anaerobic conditioning.

You should come to UK. pretty much every 15 year old studying Art GCSE has a book which looks like this, not really standing out from the crowd. My teachers back in school actually discouraged us from doing it because it was so common that it cheapened the value of the work we were presenting. When you're that age it is very hard to get your work noticed, especially judged against 100's of others, and presenting it in a serious and formal manner seemed to work the best for me. each to their own

I am a 4h leader trying to help kids understand several different concepts of presenting themselves along with when they may or may not be appropriate to help seperate themselves from every one else competing for positions, scholarships and appointments in their various fields of interest. Part of "decorating" your book or project is the idea that it will help you stnad out when being judged or considered. Not to make to much of it. I have been on many a committee or worked with judges for many projects that they get something that looks like everyone elses with the same information. By being creaive it gives insight, depth if you will to the person who is judging the work about the person submitting the work. (I hate the word judging but I can't think of another right now)

meow98, sometimes, giving ourselves permission to go crazy with layering is a way around the Inner Critic. Meaning, for me, if I don't like how a page is going, then I can just cover it up and start over, without my own inner drama of "Oh no, it's ruined!" There's also the coolness of having secret messages to ourselves, hiding behind the layers, which can add meaning to an entry. But really, it's just a matter of preference...whatever works for you works for you. :D
