Also (the above being for Phineas...it would not post as a reply), realize that you will not have nearly enough time to provide any kind of "care" to patients. Again, sorry to burst your bubble, but the nursing ideaology they feed you in school does NOT transcend into reality. There is *always* a "shortage" of nurses because nobody stays in the field for long. The truth must come out.

You were replying to me?! I get the feeling that you are attacking my valid opinion. I would never want to be a nurse as a career. I said it was not a glamorous job, because it is not. That was my point in regards to the sexified video. We are *both* saying that it is not a glamorous job. Nurses are expendable pawns in the healthcare system. You will get no respect and clean up putrid bodily emissions. You're a student. When you get out into the REAL nursing world, you'll be disappointed.

I would just like to let you know this was a farse on nursing and it CERTAINLY does not represent what nurse was, is, or will ever be. I just want you know that judging the whole profession of nursing on this nursing school video would make be sad indeed. Please let your nurse know your opinions of her OR him next time you are admitted into the hospital and see what they say.
