AND...that 250GB limit has been in place for months. I run a wireless router with three xbox360s and two laptops, sometimes all running at the same time, never came close to the limit. Like the other posts in here said, you're either running a business from home, which your residential contact does NOT cover, or you're downloading full length movies or something similar. I'm a comcast technician, one of the guys who come to your house to fix problems. I've done a lot of service calls for "slow internet speeds." About one in twenty is actually a Comcast problem. Most of the time its a crappy computer, some dork running a crappy router or something like that.

Not stingy with speed but with how much you consume. I've been monitoring my usage for over a year and found I'm using on average 30-50 gigs a month. Our max has been 73 gigs when I needed to download all software for Ubuntu 7.04 for development. So how much is acceptable? The one question you people can't seem to agree on.

Usually not. Because sometimes they put things that cost money for free. It's like stealing. But that doesn't mean that all torrents have illegal contents. But if you're looking for movies, music, or programs you better be safe and use Amazon or iTunes for music and just buy DVD's or pay for the movie online ( from iTunes) and get programs from the owner's site or buy it.

I agree that some PCs are very bad at multi-tasking, i had an old packard bell that wouldnt do it for shit, but i find it has a lot to do with the choice of hardware. Im not going to pretend that windows is a brilliant operating system. What it does give you is choice, in this case the choice to select any component you chose and of course there are bad decisions.

Good point. Most new car stereo systems support ipods so you never have to touch it. The ipod hook up should be placed in the glove compartment. A good and safe place to keep it. School got tired of our monthly meetings and actually put in writing that our son was not allowed to go to his classes if a substitute was in the room and he could only use the nurse's restroom. This is the Brandywine School District in Delaware. Sounds like segregation to me and denying a child an equal education.

I see what you're saying, I mean I was 'bullied' myself in school, but it does seem like you've divided people into black and white, innocent victims and bullies. I would not say that saying one nasty thing that puts someone down makes you a bully. It's a mean thing to do, yes, but I would say that 'bullying' is too strong a word for it. You're kidding, right? Linux is a kernel. Operating systems making use of it are typically more stable, reliable and functional than Windows operating systems. An OS is a tool like any other computer component. What works best for you may not be the best choice for someone else. I enjoy Unix-like OSs because of the control I can exact over my systems and the reliability. To each their own!
