Ron Paul - 2012
By: farziran87. on 15 Nov 08, 22:26:33
I really wish ross perot had won and truly changed politics. I supported a nader this year and although if I had a gun to my head I would vote obama over mccain, i think its time for all the ppl to realize their is only little difference amongst the candidates.
By: LarryB1984. on 15 Nov 08, 21:25:38
Well honestly, what good is experience when you dont have a brain in your head? Before Bill Clinton left office, our country had surpluses, and then came an "experienced" George W Bush and flushed those surpluses down the drain! Say what you want about Obama, but he sounds like he has a good brain in his head like Clinton did! I mean we had a choice between him, or another 4 years of Bush policies/broken promises/lies, but we were sick of that, and we made the right choice!

corporate welfare. more money for those poor little rich people.
By: Independantfellow. on 14 Nov 08, 15:54:56
hey bush sr. didn't ruin the economy. Poor guy had to contend with all the deficit from Reagan.
By: reidmustang88. on 13 Nov 08, 06:05:44
the reason we're in a deficit isn't necessarily b/c of taxes. the laffer curve proves that higher taxes lead to lower revenues for the government due to decrease of consumer and supplier involvement to avoid taxes. Bush has spent WAY too much money which counteracts his tax cuts and actually makes them useless
By: reidmustang88. on 13 Nov 08, 06:02:18
why don't you offer me a counter argument than insulting me. I'm a Libertarian...not a republican. And of course it's opinionated..IT'S MY OPINION! Public knowledge..huh, well of course it is because it's available to the public..it's not private info. People just have to get off their ass and actually research things and think for themselves instead of people telling them what to think
By: Notedog. on 13 Nov 08, 03:19:03
I really like the idea of having 3 candidates. The fact that the Democrats and the Republicans wouldn't even let Ross Perot in to the 96 debates is one of the many things keeping me from committing to either party. Also, "WOW" at Ross Perot's zinger. Is this why the Republicans and the Democrats decided that the audience is not allowed to make any noise during debates?
By: xman4un. on 13 Nov 08, 02:50:25
You must be kidding! lol...That insight is a rather general Republican premise and very much opinionated depending on YOUR politics. "Finance major and econ minor" my ass!! What of it, your stated views are public knowledge my friend, sorry, you haven't proved your case, in fact you look rather foolish with all that tall talk!
By: echoside427. on 12 Nov 08, 08:53:12
Let me help you with something. We had a surplus while Clinton was in office because we were taxed out of our asses. We have a defecit because Bush cut those taxes. Simple enough? Now we have a democrat-elect in office whose state capitol holds a 10% interest rate for no appearant reason, so here wqe go again on the getting taxed out of our asses again. I hope your're happy and i guarantee he's crooked. For someone who spend $4 million/week on commercials, he owes somebone a LOT of money.
By: 666bushisnazi666. on 10 Nov 08, 14:12:40
ross perot had money thats why, he is a billionaire plus bush used him to steal votes from clinton but it didnt work, republicans are dirty like that.
By: Obama26. on 09 Nov 08, 15:17:38
Both Bush's were horrible. I would never vote for neither 1 of them. Both are crooks
By: jm4847. on 09 Nov 08, 13:19:57
Young "inexperienced" democrat running against a republican who practically ruined the economy on the platform of change... history does repeat itself and with the same outcome.
By: reidmustang88. on 08 Nov 08, 02:41:22
The $700 billion bailout plan, all comes from newly printed money. NO! God forbid we take it out of our wasteful spending programs that don't do jack shit for the economy. So basically we've made our deficit bigger and devalued the dollar more b/c it's not backed by anything
By: reidmustang88. on 08 Nov 08, 02:38:36
also we put the dollar back on the gold standard, which lasted up until 1971, when Nixon took us off. FDR took us off the gold standard so the Fed reserve could print more money, which is just paper money. It's called Fiat Money and fiat means in latin "Let It be" So they're just calling it money it has no value. This cause devaluation of the dollar. It's the same thing were doing now.
By: reidmustang88. on 08 Nov 08, 02:34:25
Now as I stated earlier, we had a recession in 1936-37,WITHIN A DEPRESSION! All b/c of FDR's failed Keynesian policies. The only good thing FDR did was help people's enthusiasm and hope. He created are so called fourth branch, "the administrative branch", which are things like the EPA, FCC, WPA, IRS. Now WWII did not get us out of the depression. It was after the war when we reallocated our resources, new markets were created, we broke down trading tariff's enacted by Hoover
By: reidmustang88. on 08 Nov 08, 02:29:43
Are you people that dense? Read something else other than a textbook to give you an understanding of the subject. Yes i am calling FDR a socialist. He was sort of mentored by Woodrow Wilson in that he worked in his administration and Wilson, in his essay called "The New Freedom", defines himself as a socialist. Socialism is about a centrally planned economic system, and redistribution of wealth by taxing the rich and giving to the poor. Who's job is that?
By: troman232. on 08 Nov 08, 01:36:13
its the economy stupid
By: troman232. on 08 Nov 08, 01:30:01
and who was President at that time?
By: troman232. on 08 Nov 08, 01:28:23
so you are naming one of the best president of the United States, leader of the Allied Powers, a socialist? His systems helped million of people who were joblesss, homeless and starving, if you lived in the twenties you would be thankful for the work that he has done, not badger him
By: Tavener88. on 07 Nov 08, 16:10:23
