omg that final chorus is always so moving. During this video I was on the verge of tears. To be honest the only time I cried to a live performance was when she did Almost Rosey when I saw in Portland last year. I am sure someone is going to make fun of me for saying that, but it was just so moving. to me her work is powerful.

To me the lyrics have to do with the idea of wanting someone to be as you want him/her to be (same as the magazine concept in 'Hey Jupiter')... a static image with no life - no chance to disagree then eh? So it's a butterfly that somebody prefers framed and dry... Prefaring the image than the soul of things (more or less).

yeah i know how you feel(i was born in 1989 too) actually one of the reasons i like tori is she reminds me of my childhood, i know i was subcontiously listening to tori when i was younger. her music wouldn't seem so familiar otherwise. the first time i heard Winter as a young teen it was like a blast from the past. her music makes me feel warm and safe. her music is like home to me.

I think this piece, musically, catches the entire intent and feeling of the lyrics. It's a very violent, sad song and I think everything about her version captures those emotions. I prefer her recorded version because it's much simpler, cleaner, and flows a bit better.
