They said largest river not longest. The nile is the longest river but is pretty shallow and not very wide in most parts. The amaazon river may be shorter but it is wider and deeper than the nile.....and not to mention home to some of the worlds most dangerous animals.

I didn't mean that chameleon got his ability instantly. I meant that you can't compare his ability to change his color to the example that I mentioned. If you look at different regions of the planet; Arctic, Tundra, temperate, Tropical or Deserts you should see that the animals living in those areas are specially fit to live there and wouldn't thrive that well in most other biomes. Earth is always changing. The animals change with it. I don't see why it's so hard to believe that.

Camouflage is actually a strong point when it comes to supporting evolution. It's not like this happens "just because". It's survival of the fittest. Whenever a mutation occurs, and it happens all the time, the resulting offspring would either have characteristics that are better or poorer then the parent. This could be different colored fur, differently shaped scales, stronger hind legs, poorer vision and so on. If these changes help the creature to survive it will live to make offspring.

This progress is completely different from chameleon's ability. Chameleon has the ability to instantly contract/expand it's color pigments and thus change color. The example with the butterfly is explained in a previous posts but it took generations. A different example would be if an animal would migrate to a colder. Over time, it's descendants (children's children) would develop thicker fur to resist the cold better, whiter coat to hide better in snow and other similar things.

There are thousands of different breeds of butterflies that are vastly different. There's also a huge difference between black bears and polar bears. Neither one could live each others territory. It's just like tigers and lions. They started out the same once but different environment changed them. Evolution is a long term effect of natural selection. Undesirable traits disappear while the desirable ones are enhanced, changing the animal. It takes generation for noticeable changes to occur.

Here's a good example. There's a type of butterfly in Britain that is normally white but every once in a while a darker one is born. It likes to rest on tree bark and the darker ones kept being spotted and eaten by birds. Then when coal plants and other factories popped up the trees in those forest started to become darker. Now the white ones where spotted and eaten while the darker ones where better hidden.

Finally there are hundreds of different species of deer grouped into four subfamilies. Most extreme different examples of deer include: Reindeer, Moose(or Elk), Water Deer and (here's a good one) Pudu. Pudu is the worlds smallest deer and funny enough, he kinda reminds me of a shrew. Then it wouldn't move with the wind and get the right measurements for the wind speed and since it's really heavy once it lands on the ground it will stay there, therefore, the tornado will just simply pass over it. Giving the team minimal or no data at all. Every part of a tornado is different, the whole thing is not just 200(x)MPH wind speeds, which makes it very important to make the device circulate within the tornado for a time.

If they did that then they wouldn't get all the measurements of the whole tornado. Think about it, if they just dropped it by air it would never get the measurements from the bottom of the tornado. It would just get the top section, that is, if it isn't thrown out by then.

This is still one of the most amazing animal hunt videos ever recorded. This version has edited out the actual kill and consuming of the baby musk ox by the wolf pack, which was very graphic and intense. The lower ranking members of the pack were food begging at the kill, just as they did when they were pups. Absolutely amazing video!

I bought this Arctic Wolf video when it first came out 20 years ago. This was recorded in the summer of 1986 by Dave Mech and Jim Brandenburg. They filmed a wolf pack that probably had never seen humans before and were able to get within a few feet of them. You'll notice that the musk ox and the wolves run right past the camera at about 00:50.

According to Pharaoh's Pump there was anearlier Pharoah who diverted part of the Nile south of Giza and created a huge Lake called "Moeris" (sp?). This water was then diverted by canal and sent directly down to Giza, and to feed their pumping system and then exhausted back into the Nile below the Pyramids. I agree! You may want to check out the link I suggested above. It is far more eloquent than the idea of slaves pulling stones up ramps. People have tried to pull the 2 and 1/2 ton stones and it is no easy task. Then you add the huge 80 ton granite slabs from the interior to this idea and you can see how absurd the idea is that they pulled 80 ton stones up a 7% grade and wrangled them around the french dudes corners. Then they lifted them with levers to the next level Outrageous and preposterous

Plausible but not Likely. A far more beautiful theory is found at the (Pharoah's Pump . org). The blocks were floated into place on barges. At each level of the pyramid a pool was enclosed within the outer casing stones. The blocks were raised level by level by a system of locks on the North face of the pyramid. The Egyptians built a Ram Pump expoliting water Implosion according to this intriguing idea. It is far more compelling and interesting, than an internal ramp, which makes little sense.

I ended up getting addicted to hydromorphone (aka Dilaudid), which is about 3x more powerful than heroin on a weight for weight basis. At first I was just eating the pills, then I decided to try snorting them one day. It was way more powerful, so I kept doing that. Then one day, I decided to try the needle. That was the biggest rush of all, so I kept to that for about a month until I sought help. It's almost a year later now, and I'm still suffering the consequences.
