The whipping twin I use is Marlow #4 I believe (at work myself). I've also been tying a double constrictor lately. instead of wrapping around just the one time, you would wrap twice. Some people put one end in a vice and pull the other end with pliers. Nylon line alone, I have found, breaks to easy. Not sure about Kevlar line, I've never had any to try. If the problem your having is that the cord is not staying tight, put liquid dish soap on it, then pull it down.

Certainly. I have used wax whipping twine and also Spectra or Dyneema. Spectra and Dyneema are fairly slick line, waxed line will slide against itself. The cord used for the knot has to hold for pulling the knot down. Line that breaks easy won't get tight enough. Make sure when you release the pressure of pulling down the knot, it does not back off at all. If it does loosen a little, your cord is not sliding well enough for the constrictor part to tighten down.

So i tryed to make some Bands for my gun but all i did was to fuck it up.... Cause i have a computer only at work (no sound) i would like you to tell me what kind is the string i should use for the knot... I tryed with naylon and kevlar but it didnt work...

Not really. Since the knot is tight and the constrictor portion is pulling down on that knot. The ball of melted nylon helps to hold it in as well. I have seen that some people tie a square knot over the constrictor before cutting. I need to re-shoot this video stating that and also showing the double constrictor.

The two ends of the string are only burned to become flat? isnt there a chance for the knot to go lose?
