This guy must think were all nuts! The side that has the correct sequence is always face up when the camera zooms out! Even when he is bumping the key the pins are allready in the right place.. hence the movement!

You cut the key into DDDDD55555. If there is only one A1/A2 or B1 it is no longer possible, and sidepins as well. I have made over thousands and thousands MTL cylinders, so I can know. The other thing is you do it in the most perfect position. I want to see you doing it in a door with safetyshields. If I see right, this is the 015 profile. The IA profiles are must more diffecult.

Correction veedubtd12 mul-t-locks are bumpable. I have seen it in person with my own eyes. your right about the keyblank being about to accomodate two diffrent locks. But just so we all know.. mut-t-locks are bumpable. {not to be confused with multi-lok}

Actually I heard you can get them at some doller stores too, pritty cheap... just make sure you ask for the manager and tell them its for the abloy locks. But theirs are made with plastic so you have to be carefull.... and don't have the good "feel" of the ones you get from wallmart or 7-11 stores.

Looking at the Bottom lock you mention, it looks more like a door catch than a lock. so effectively it is probably open. The catch is something that opens when you twist the door handle. I only say this as it is bevelled. As far as I am concerned that was EXCELLENT work.

Nice demonstration of just how secure these locks are. As Oakrockranch says, 25 minutes (approx) is a *very* long time for a single lock to keep a pro out. A "Residential Security Container rating (RSC)" is rated to 5 minutes. A good safe is rated to 15 minutes, and a very good safe is rated to 30. Watching this video, for an NDE entry, I'd put it almost on a par with the Chubb 110. You *will* need a dedicated kit and an hour, to be sure of getting in.

I'm not saying it would be *impossible* to do without knowing the position of the bolt; I'm just saying that it would be much more difficult. I've never picked an Abloy like this before, so I don't really know how much of it is done by feel & how much by sight. Then again, most hobby lockpicking is rather unrealistic. Compared to picking a lock you just happened to find, hobby lockingpicking is quite a bit more forgiving to the lockpicker, I think. Still, this video shows some serious skill.

I agree its not about age or worth its a hobby and a lock of this calibre would likely only be found in high security areas such as government or banks and even if it is no longer produced would still be used in these areas. The abloy was and is still one of the most secure locks on the market and it is amazing to see somone with such dexteerity and skill to pick this. Well done sochilons a very interesting video for a lock picking hobbyist. Cheers

I think you will find that the amount the bolt moves does not need to be known because he is actually feeling for the gap that the bolt needs to go through to unlock the lock. The only visual feedback he needs is to put those small pins in the dummy key the rest is by feel.

I could give a kid a new lockpicking set and he's not just gonna stick picks into a house lock and open the door right away. but I don't understand how the customer is cheated. It is really impressive to see lockpicking at this level, but it's also somewhat unrealistic. In a real situation, the bolt would be basically invisible because it would be buried in the door jamb, so you wouldn't really get any visual feedback from that, which would make the whole process a lot more difficult, I think.

look closely at the end durring the closeup of the 2 keys and you will see the cheat. the two keys have a single dimple on the left hand side that controls the interactive lock's sidebar that makes it bump resistant and if you look close that part of the bump key hasent meen modified and in fact has the right cut for that particular lock he is claiming to bump open disabling half the lock's security. try again with a bump key that wasn't made from the original key for that lock!

this is dumb yes your right , on one side of the key there are five cuts and on the other there are six . second of all the key that works it looks like its pinned to a1 a1 a1 b2 a1... third of all he is not even bumping it right you have to back it out one space if you really want to know what he is doing ... he has the lock master keyed to two key the first kluzzz (key) is pinned to the key correctly the "bump kluzzz" is just a little off from the master pins , try it its lame....

Uhm, why are there 6 cuts on that key when there are only 5 chambers in the cylinder? MTL cylinders have 5 chambers, not 6.

these is an old method and is not available anymore (for Mul-T-Lock) they all ready change the pins inside.If you want to demonstrate your skills do it with the new pins that are self blocking when you are try to open with these method
