mate dont sound lyk ur perfect... i agree that its not a sport... every solo has its own technique but just some are more appealable then others. Jordison just wacks tom untill he decide to end it with an advanced rock beat. sumthin like Rob Bourdon and Tony Royster sound much better

Sad to see that a real drum solo (Weckl & Corea live - just an example) hardly reaches 5.800 views, whereas this display of acrobatic drumstick manipulation is viewed over 1 million times... things that make you go "hmmm".

Maybe so, but each is limited style wise. A drum solo does not represent much about a drummer, take this video for example. Its a mix match of tempos, technique, stick tricks etc. try and tap your foot to it. Yeah geek drummers will sit there all day staring at him, but musically how would you use these things? Find me a video of Mr Lang using all these things he does in a musical setting, meaning with a band.

You kids have so much to learn, so many comments below need attention. First of all music is not a sport, it is an art form. Therefore all the needless talk of "so and so is better" is ridiculous. All you knuckle dragging wanna bees seem to forget the most important thing in ANY style of music and that is playing for the music, drum solos do not sell records, never have and never will. Just because a drummer is fast does not mean they are the best, go watch a football game in that case.

this guy is amazing. And motazaliad is right. Him and Joey play completely different styles and you cant truly say one is better than the other. But listen to any Jordison solos and you can say that skillwise, they are both incredibly talented and comparable.

Sure the guy's skilled, but since when would this be considered a funk drum solo? There's nothing less funky than double pedals, especially when you just hammer them real fast, like this guy.
