This Aikido is as it is meant to be! I have trained with Reynosa Sensei and a true accounts of pure training is what is accountable here .!There are very few practishioners of Real Aikido that I can see of here, and for the pure fact that they train in Tomiki or alike and not traditional Aikido! is not substantial. I'm with you. Aikido is Aikido in all its myriad forms and interpretations. At the base are the same principles of body movement regardless of hard or soft, traditional or "practical" or "realistic" Aikido.

Aikido is not meant to be "effective" in a way that most people think. Aikido is a way of life. It gives a lot more than what you see visually. Each person has it's way, nothing wrong with that. Eventually or not, some ppl will understand that there is always more than the obvious. And remember to practice aikido, there as to be two persons ore more.. there are no superheroes, one always concur with the other. The uke is not a punching bag. 10years and counting :) dan's are irrelevant.

This is a result of MMA training. One art can not be seperated from another. There is aiki in there but it was very rehearsed. Re Gandhiji comment- looking a Osensei has its down falls. The vast majority of the footage of osensei shows over 60 years of MA training and dedication. I would never watch and then try to copy Osensei- I would only watch to remined me of what is possible.

it works for me so far-- validates my experienc: I've always felt that no matter what, have some sort of boxing base. I've fenced too, so strong side forward works for me. I've always thought the best thing in wing chun was chain punching. I might study muay thai, and pick up kali again. With some grappling, you have a good base... you can always learn more

Hi Kungfu088, JKD is not a concept until all the principles of Kinesiology in fighting have been understood. Even then a concept which one then may add is bound by the underlying PRINCIPLES and is PSYCHOLOGICAL. The only concept to add to efficient human movement is efficient human 'ATTITUDE'. JKD is a solid set of principles, when one masters them one can at the 'open end' add the concept of 'self'. This clip is quite good and way better than most I've seen professing to be JKD.Keep up the good work.

The guys getting beat up in the demo are awesome. The big roll after the elbow is my favourite..BOSH! Them boys would have been in for some lovin' after the demo, and let's be honest didn't we all start martial arts to make ourselves more attractive to girls...or because we are short.
