Wasn't that redheaded guy in the car with the girl on a comedy show with John Thaw in the 80s? And did he not guest star on an episode of Life On Mars (UK)? What was his name?

I remember this being on TV at the time (I was 13) and we were all in shock! I lived in Selby at the time, which is also in the north of England, not that far from Sheffield where this is set. Thanks for posting - more people should see this!!!

I think he was sentence to 15 to 20 years in prison due to the fact that his country was allied during WWII. If his country was't allied, he would have been executed by electric chair

By: MrSoprano0125. on 24 Oct 08, 21:14:59
Well no not really. It wasn't just the Americans who was working on the atomic bomb. There was scientists from the countries they were allied with who was researching on the manhatten project.
By: fremlinskent. on 24 Oct 08, 20:43:57
Yes I know the Russian factories were (mostly) in ruins. You haven't understood my point. That American made nuclear weapons first doesn't mean that some other country couldn't later. Are you really so conceited to think that ONLY Americans have the brains to make something?
By: MrSoprano0125. on 24 Oct 08, 20:37:29
Because during World War II, most of Russia was in ruins. Most of thier factories and towns were destroyed as the Nazis attempted to invade Russia. Russia made thier own nuclear weapon a few years after the war after getting up back on thier feet. They studied the blueprints thier spy deliver and made thier own. Spies are a pain in the arse if you're a country that want to keep secret weaponry
By: fremlinskent. on 24 Oct 08, 20:15:39
I don't think that's quite right. Just because of one man. Why wouldn't/couldn't the Russians have independently developed nukes?
By: MrSoprano0125. on 21 Oct 08, 15:28:34
Cont. It is revealed that he shared the technology to 3 countries. Now thanks to this fucking asshole, we now live in total fucking fear of being anhialated and cremated into dust while living our daily lives....
By: MrSoprano0125. on 21 Oct 08, 15:26:40
Cont. As the Americans first test the successful nuke, Fuchs sent out blueprints to his Russian Superiors. After the Japanese surrender, Fuchs went to work for the British. As he worked for the British, The Russians developed thier own atomic bomb. They developed quicker than the American despite thier country being in ruins. A few years later, Klaus Fuchs confessed of being a spy and working for other countries who wanted to developed thier Atomic programme.
By: MrSoprano0125. on 21 Oct 08, 15:23:21
Let me all tell you a story on how we went into a cold war in the first place. Once upon a time, we was in a conflict between the Nazis and the Japanese in World War II. The finest German and American scientists gathered round to make the most powerful and deadly bomb. The Atomic Bomb. The scientist being Robert oppenheimer, Klaus Fuchs, etc. They work in Los Alamos deeloping the Atomic Bomb. Klaus Fuchs was a Russian spy and he monitered the American's progress.
