Cool to see the actors supporting the writers :) I don't deny that I hate that House is affected by this strike and therefore making us fans suffer for the lack of episodes. But I sort of understand that they have to do this. And it's a good thing that the actors understand it too and they're fully behind the writers on it too.

not really. The producers and the studio are the ones who FRONT the money to get the episode from the script to the can. the money to hire the directors, camera people, editors, wardrobe etc. You write the script, come up with all the cash to turn it into a broadcast quality show, go ahead and keep the profits.the writers are a small piece of the large puzzle that the producers put together. That being said, I think they deserve what they are asking for. It's just that your analogy is flawed.

Yes and no. There are times in America where the price for care in some cases is very high however the quality of care is top class. Thanks to the American System I got completly cured of a condition that usually last a lifetime. If I was in Canada I probably would have had to wait about a year just to get treated. A lot of people think that UHC will fix everything but usually those people are the ones that ignore the horror stories from countries like Canada and the UK.

I'm pretty sure that the writers were not being paid enough for their work. The companies and stuff that hired them were making a lot of money, but they weren't giving enough of that to the writers. The writers went on strike to bring attention to the fact that they weren't receiving enough credit for their work. But the problem has been resolved now (I think...) and they are being paid a better amount.

its not just the shows, the music industry is basically in the same situatuin as well, unless you use itunes to actually buy songs, or buy Cd's the artist you're listening to probably doesn't have that multi million dollar house like people imagine, they probably are regular people like us, and music artists need that money... why? because if you like their music then they deserve that money

The last strike lasted 22wks im not surprised if this one will last longer, since this time the topic is about internet platform vs royalties. Internet is gonna be a long lasting platform, WGA, I believe is making the right decision to hold out for what they want since if they settle too soon they are going to be shafted for a long long time. good luck WGA booyeah

I understand what the writers are saying, but they're being stupid! They make money! More money than people over in other countries that do the REAL work. And do you think those people get enough pay? no! Do you think those people get credit for their work? No! Do you see them on strike? No! Because they can't go on strike.
